Report: Lucy Holds Football Again

Amply be-chinned #MoscowMitch McConnell

I cannot believe that our failed political press is falling for it again: They are taking amply be-chinned Mitch McConnell at face value when he leaked —loudly and repeatedly— that he’s delighted that the Democrats are impeaching Trump, and that he might vote to ITMFA.

And then, like Lucy,  he pulled the football away. He’s not calling back the Senate to deal with it.

He’s dumping the whole thing on Schumer’s lap and delaying Biden getting his cabinet approved. (Impeachment is Privileged and by the Constitution it supersedes all other Senate Business.) It’s his trademark obstruction, and this time he’s getting the Democrats to do it to themselves.

#MoscowMitch is setting up the 2022 Pie Fight right before our eyes. Expect nothing but noise about this impeachment for the next 2 years. It’s how he’s going to try to march the MAGA mouthbreathers into the voting booth.

    Y’know what would be cool?

If the D’s woke up and realized that you have to beat these mother forkers at their own effing game.

I’m guessing the upside to his foot dragging is that it may restrain the Lunatic from doing worse damage to our democracy. Not that the Orange Sht Gibbon may be restrained by logic, but maybe by the fear of being the only Sht Gibbon ever to be convicted of sedition, high crimes, and a sh*t load of misdemeanors…

If someone could connect the dots on Mitch and IMThatMFA it would be a boon for mankind.

I’m pretty sure Nancy can delay delivering it to the Senate for a few months, giving time to take care of the more important business first.
