You’re Fired!

We made history and impeached the mother eff’er! Twice! The vote was 232 to 197 with four members not voting, which means at least 10 Republicans crossed the aisle, making it the most bi-partisan impeachment in US History!

Rep Jim Jordan said the he was not surprised by the number of Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, but was hoping it would be less.

“It’s about where I thought it might be,” Jordan said walking off the floor. “I was hoping it would be less.”

Asked if he still considers Trump to be a leader of the Republican party even though he has now been impeached twice, Jordan said, “of course.”

“Da Godfather is still da boss,” Jordan didn’t say. “Is that thing on?”

“His support is strong because the American people appreciate that over the last four years he did more of what he said he would do than any President in my life,” Jordan said.

Asked if the 10 Republicans who voted with Democrats to impeach Trump would face primaries Jordan said, “I don’t know that.”

And perhaps my favorite reaction:

  1. 3 of the sedition Caucus chickened out and didn’t vote. See what yours did here:

(all of the TSKoA dems voted for, all of the TSKoA R’s are members of the Sedition Caucus and voted no)

Every damned Republican should have voted to impeach. To their shame, they chickened out. But ten did step up and the impeachment is done.

If only a quick Senate vote could follow. That’s what would make me happy.

But this is still good news. Trump humiliated himself and endangered democracy and now he’s nothing.

That jim “gym” jordan is a coward and a fool. We already knew that. I listened to the whole thing. Now i feel sick. I guess I’ll go eat my organic food and go to bed with a heavy heart.

One of the Goopers, can’t remember which, made an argument to not impeach because it would open the door to use Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to unseat traitorous House Reps.and Senators that aided and abetted the insurrection. They deserve it. I sure hope it happens.

Did he now? That’s interesting, and I should thank him for that recommendation.

    • *”We cannot hold the President responsible for his crimes, because it might lead to holding us accountable for ours” *

Said on the record, out loud.

Seriously? This is self-own on the scale of “Taking a selfie with your boots up on Pelosi’s Desk” and “Grinning at the cameras as you run out with her podium under your arm” then being utterly shocked that you are promptly found and arrested.

Maybe they really are as stupid as the pretend to be…

There’s a difference between being that stupid and being supremely confident that there won’t be consequences.
The lack of consequences has been the pattern until now.
