It’s Show Time, Georgia!

OK, Georgeduh, it’s your double-header! Show us what you’ve got.

Last night Lord Damp Nut took his Festivus-style airing of grievances to the Gret Stet of Georgeduh, gave about a sentence each to Loeffler and Perdue and then whinged about how unfairly Georgeduh treated him, yadda-yadda. Axios morning email thingie:

“At a rally in Georgia last night, President Trump denounced “y0ur incompetent governor” and “your crazy secretary of state” — both Republicans — as he plugged Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.” — Axios morning email thingie

Now we find out if it worked.

I’m also under the impression that the location for his monologue was near a norther boarder of the state, so it could be the case that the Reichstag burning, er, rally was attended by non-Georgeduh-ians (even I don’t think that’s a wurd, but I digest); I didn’t watch, so I have no idea if that theory has been debunked.

Politico’s morning email thingie alarms us:

ON THE GROUND — “Thousands of Atlanta Ballots at Risk Ahead of Pivotal Georgia Senate Runoffs as Mail Delays Drag On,” NBCLX: “According to the most recent USPS filings in federal court, the agency was processing just 76% of ballots on-time, as of Dec. 21, in their Atlanta metro region, which covers most of the northern – and most populated – half of the Peach State.

“That means some ballots mailed by Georgia voters 3-5 days before this week’s run-off elections – and even some ballots mailed prior to New Year’s — may not make it to elections offices before the state’s Jan. 5 deadline for the votes to count.”

If you live in the Peachtree State, please haul yourself out to vote (if you have not done so already), and haul your like-minded friends, too.

  1. He seems to be under the impression that only registered Democrats voted for Biden…he went off on a weird rant that there were ‘hundreds of thousands’ more votes for Biden in Arizona than there were registered Democrats, (hell he even name-checked Pima County, and he pronounced it correctly unlike “Mary-i-coopa” County.)

And in another place he claimed that the “Dominion Voting Machines [crowd:“BOOOOOOO!” Dominions libel lawyers: “Here’s another name for the list…” ] had a ‘95% error rate on determining the intent of the voter’ in Fulton County.

It was just fucking lunacy on a lunacy foodback loop with a bugfuck insane amplifier in the circuit stomping repeatedly on a wawahooYAKETAYAKETA Curly slapping his face and gibbering pedal.

I mean I swear, he was like thirty seconds away from ripping off his shirt and smearing chili all over himself at all times…

I’m hopeful that Democrats step up and vote in numbers that solidly elect Democratic Senators. It would be a message for Georgians that Democrats care about them and their well-being. And it would be a message to Mitch that his power is ebbing.

But in my heart, I’m worried. We should have increased numbers in the House in November, and we lost. Mitch, Collins, and Graham were all easily re-elected, and we didn’t make a big difference in the Senate. Polls got the numbers wrong. I will remain hopeful, but I’m not confident.

    We shall see.
