Not a joke, it looks like domestic terrorism:
Massive downtown Nashville explosion an ‘intentional act’, police say
Nashville authorities believe an explosion that occurred in downtown Nashville early Christmas morning was an “intentional act” and sparked by a vehicle.
Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked outside an AT&T building just before 6 a.m. Upon arrival, police said an officer “had reason” to alert the department’s hazardous devices unit, which was en route, when a “significant explosion” happened.
Three people were hospitalized with injuries, police said.
No clues in the article as to who or why, or even why today or why Nashville, but that’s the way terrorists work.
UPDATE 1: Andrew McCabe, former FBI deputy director, said on CNN: “An explosive device of this size is going to be treated presumptively as an act of terrorism.”
UPDATE 2:
It’s a miracle there aren’t any casualties.

6:30 Xmas AM. There were reports of gunfire (not unusual in America) prior to the blast.

My hometown, I moved 100 miles away from Nashville after retiring a year ago. I have a relative in the police dept., but doubt I would know anything any faster than anybody else. I’ve been in that historic area many times, just a couple blocks away from where I worked.

Crashville? WHODATHUNKIT??? – glad we’re 106 miles west of there; hope the domestic terrorism nut jobs stay away from here, but – “They’re EVERYWHERE! They’re EVERYWHERE!”

More likely your police officer relative was drinking with the terrorists on Christmas eve.

Could be wrong but, from what I’ve seen: across the street from a (deserted) park and next door to two buildings already under demolition. Could be any number of things, could be Crom’s girlfriend, what’s her name, but whatever it is it appears to be convenient.

They tried to catch some cops in the blast.
First stop for the Wurlitzer called the liberal media – BLM.
Last stop RWNJ’s.
Guess who I’m betting tried to copy Oklahoma City to start a race war?

Poking around the internet, there just doesn’t seem to be any targets where the bomb went off that make any sense. Even for Qspiricists. (Although you can never be too sure what they’re thinking) There are several government buildings in the area though. My scientific wild conjecture at this time is that perhaps the police were tipped off to an impending act of terrorism and the vehicle was intercepted before reaching its intended target.

Actually, there is an escape room business nearby. Perhaps someone was just trying to spring some friends who couldn’t solve it.

Insanely, idiotically nuts and stupid. But I could be correct.

That’s it, Tengrain.
And while it is tempting to call it early, I guess it’s rude of me to be shooting my, er, fingers off with unfounded theories. Also a bad idea. I’ll stop.

Take any/all reports in the next 24 hours or so with a grain of salt. Nobody was looking for Tim McVey, they were looking for foreigners.
