John LeCarré, redux

Because John LeCarré was such a hot topic this morning, I thought you guys might be interested  knowing that Vanity Fair has linked to an archival interview with the good author from back in the ’80s. (I’m not sure if this is behind the firewall or not, and sorry if it is!)

    Fresh Air (NPR) today also reaired an interview of Le Carre that was done in 2017, in which the author found a couple of opportunities to throw shade on Trump.

    Thanks for posting this, he was an amazing author. I watched the Alec Guinness version of ‘Tinker, Tailor…’ two years ago right after reading the book, and I have to say that, as much as I love Sir Alec, Beryl Reid managed to steal a scene from him:
