Yesterday, In History

Chimpy and the banner

Bush v. Gore was ruled 20 years ago.

The essential Election Law Blog has a good post up that compares/contrasts then vs. now, and some lessons we should have learned. To the degree that history repeats, we have a chance to fix things. Again.

Let’s not blow it. Again.

Wesley – are you OK? That was a really violent take-down!

We’ve already found out the identity of one of the perpetrators and we’re close on two others. My real concern is my friend who suffers from epilepsy and was hit in the head twice. No broken bones here. The real problem is that the police here are completely untrustworthy. It was state cops who came to our rescue so maybe they’re not closet fascists. We’ll see. I’ll keep you updated.

Save this video and show it to any white trash that starts calling BLM or Antifa violent. We were both unarmed and they were almost all carrying pistols on their belts. I bet they would have used them except right behind us was a Christmas tree lot and everyone in there was standing right behind the chickenwire and watching and shouting stop.

Some of us called it, at some obscure blog no longer obscure but I still am … *

History, if there is a history, will record the appointment of the scion of old school, blue-blooded, Hitler-financing Robber Baron money of little intellect, less education and no experience by an ideologically stacked court of unelected partisan activist judges to the highest office of the land as The End of America.

We’re where we’re at on momentum, momentum that has run out.

The good bad or indifferent news is things are going to change.

Somethings has got to change, and no one has ever voluntarily surrendered their class or race privilege without a violent struggle.
