Yep – they’re importing some of that rarified Alaskan air, accompanied by the occasional biblical deluge, and ginormous waves at the coast. 25-footers near me, and 50 – 60 foot waves at Maverick’s, just down the road a bit.
Nope.
Some time ago, I saw rain that lasted for about almost 5 minutes … it was pretty exciting.
The Haleakala don’t spare or share rain this side of it.
Howdy y’all!
Here in Cambodia, the monsoon seems to be passing early. It rained two days ago. We saw some lightening last night. Otherwise, just hot and humid rather than hot, humid, and rainy.
On a lighter note, to paraphrase Vincent from “Time Bandits,” “Yes. I love the rain. God, how I – I love it. It’s so – so damn… damn, damn, wet!”
Four below zero here tonight. We will have black ice on on the roads for the next two and a half months. I don’t really understand why wet road are a problem for y’all in the south.
We Yankee imports, here in the south, have to be very careful when we get the rare freeze on the roads; we know how to handle ’em, but these rednecks don’t, and they increase the driving hazards, spinning tires and skidding all over the place.
Dry here in SW Ohio. We had snow a couple of weeks ago, but it was gone the next day. We’ve had clear, dry weather, warmer than usual for this time of year. We might have a white Christmas, but it’s a big maybe.
North Jersey here. We had about 3/4 inch of picturesque snow about 3 days ago – outlined every twig and evergreen branch, followed by a weekend of unusually mild temps and now a steady rain-wet snow mix is coming down. Not cat weather, not dog weather, not even anthropoid weather! Possible big storm coming this way mid-week, as Diane says.
Yeah,it’s coming down, here in middle TN, but we don’t need the screen to affirm the fact.

I, for one, require a Weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

Similar here. A couple of days of snow so far, mostly melted off between snows.

Raining hard in South Jersey. We could get a foot of snow on Weds! Rare this early, but it happens.
