    Looks like those MAGATs will soon destroy themselves. Standing shoulder-to shoulder, not wearing masks. Good! Keep it up!

      There was a study (or a few) done about uniforms. In the case I’m thinking of the uniform was lab coats and a clipboard. The researchers put on their uniforms, got some traffic cones, and told a bunch of people just trying to commute home from work that they couldn’t proceed.
      It worked. The people stopped – they argued, but they stopped for the lab coats and clipboards.
      I’m a little surprised these blokes didn’t wear red ties as part of their uniforms, or at least incorporate some red detailing. The one with the bs-horn, though, is wearing that weird over-the-brow overhang hair do, though.

        @Denis Cole. I decided to look up the origin of this famous quote and this is what I found:

        This winged word goes back to a passage in Georg Büchner’s drama ” Dantons Tod ” [1] [2] . There it says:
        “I know well – the revolution eats like Saturn, it eats its own children.” [3] [4]
        Danton expresses this thought as if foreshadowing his own violent end. [1] [2]
        The saying on which this quote is based were the last words of the French lawyer and revolutionary Pierre Vergniaud shortly before his execution on October 31, 1793. [5] He witnessed the execution of his political and personal friends, such as Brissot , Gensonné , Boyer-Fonfréde or Ducos and was the last to be led to the scaffold.         Just maybe we are witnessing the beginning of the self-destruction of the GOP. In all seriousness, if the extreme right drives this to its “logical” conclusion, the “reasonable” Repubs may have to choose between a wholesale conversion to outright fascism or an ultra-conservative “middle ground” that still believes in democracy. (Think of the Ga. electoral officially.)

        It appears the Judiciary, the so-called “least dangerous branch,” has saved the Republic, at least for now.

        Terrifying times we live in.

    The theme of this rally seems a little out of whack with a current WaPo headline; “In contesting his election loss, Trump cements control of the GOP”. He does not now and never has had effective control of anything, what he does now have, IMO, is sole ownership of the chaos, destruction, and corruption he has inspired and encouraged.

    I bet a list of demands from these intellectual conservatives would be quite entertaining. A list that is unrealistic and unattainable. So after they destroy the GOP, what then?
