Our pals over at Electoral-Vote begin their morning post with this ‘graf, and it sums up where we are:
There are currently 196 Republicans in the House of Representatives. And 106 of them have now signed on to an amicus brief for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s (R) pending SCOTUS case, declaring that the presidential election was illegitimate, and that the Court should step in and overturn the results. Put another way, 54% of the GOP House caucus is openly calling for a coup because they don’t like the results of an election. If that is not putting party before country, we don’t know what is.
Reminder: Here’s the list of Republicans who are not fans of democracy or the US Constitution. If any of them are your representatives, give their office a call and tell ’em what you think.
Summing up: 17 attorneys general and 106 members of Congress sign on to sedition, and McConnell leaves town with no Trump-Virus relief. Another banner day for the Republican Party.

It does have a “Fall of the Roman Republic” feel to it. Unbelievable that this should be happening here, but it is. This is what happens when one of the two political parties turns fascist. It’s extremely depressing.
