Peggy Noonan weeps into her Mai-Tai
“President Trump’s campaign and its affiliated committees spent more than $1.1 million at Trump’s own properties in the last weeks of the 2020 campaign — continuing a pattern of self-enrichment in which Trump has converted $6.7 million from his campaign donors into revenue for his businesses since taking office.”
Well, at least he’s only grifting from his supporters this time. There’s that.
He didn’t learn from Bernie Madoff, of course.
Never steal from the rich.

Lest anyone still have doubts, the Trump presidency was a Ponzi scheme from Day One, and beyond. His aspirations were never governance and leadership; he was in it for money, power, and fame. His support team of Bannon, Stone, McConnell, and Stephen Miller pushed him into the burning down of the structure of government to pave the way for white power and mega-theft. Anyone he appointed was in on the grift.
And now they know the time is up and they’re going to shit the bed for Biden to clean up. These despicable thugs all belong in prison, but we know they’ll be on their way with their pockets jammed full of our cash.

You are quite right. Like all of the recent R “leaders”, they are not the ones in charge, they are there because they are electable. Those behind them run the show, and in this case, the person most responsible for promoting the current monstrosity is Bannon, who is not a conservative, he is a self-described anarchist. What better way to create anarchy than to push this buffoon on the nation, and surround him with psychopaths bent on creating a dystopia where they are the powerful, and the rest must bow to them? Bannon pushed the button and walked away to watch his perpetual-commotion machine do its job.
