“We live in a country in epistemological crisis, in which much of the Republican Party has become detached from reality.”

You built it, DFB. Why are you surprised that your Republican party is full of Republicans(™ Driftglass)?

Ha! I just posted a similar comment on another blog I read, after a commenter linked to Bobo’s latest oil slick. He noted that he usually hates linking to Brooks, but “he has a point,” and quoted that part. I said how convenient Bobo detached himself from a party to which he has been a member his whole ƒü¢k!ñg life. Jeezo.

  3. It’s his once-a-presidential term contractually required column about how maybe, just maybe our problems are maybe a teensy-weensy, nearly microscopically tilted more towards one side, who some call “Rip”, err, “Roop”, err “Republicans” for some reason.

But as always there’s a bloody shiv in the back of the dirty fucking hippies in there, too:

In the fervor of this enmity, millions of people have come to detest those who populate the epistemic regime, who are so distant, who appear to have it so easy, who have such different values, who can be so condescending.

Or translated “Look what you made me do, bitch!” SLAP
