Oh, yeah – our Tuxedo/Magpie cat, Tuffie2, thought the turkey was roasted just for him, and begged for seconds, and thirds, and fourths….

Thanks, hope yours was good, too. Good 2.5 person feast day (my sister and I collaborating in the kitchen, the .5 representing our friend who rents with us and is just completing a self-quarantine after seeing a long-time pal living in another state. As she wasn’t due to spend the day with her boyfriend or anyone else and was keeping to her room, I made her a personal-sized apple pie with a lattice-style top crust. First time I’ve tried to make a small pie,and was sure I’d gotten the measurements wrong – but she said it was “beautiful” and wanted to take a pic of it to put up on her FB page. Actually it looked like it was done by someone who’d never done such a thing before, but hey – it’s the thought. And the flavor counts, too.
Also my fervent thanks to all you scissorheads and everybody else who had the good sense to vote for Joe. And I do mean fervent. A happy disease-free holiday to everyone!

Huh, how did you get a picture of me last night? I cooked all day, cooked the day before, and entertained our two elderly moms for dinner yesterday. Just four of us, but I prepared more food so we could provide them with leftovers and also deliver Thanksgiving plates to our two sons, who could not attend. So after cooking, packing up to-go meals, I washed a mountain of dishes. I looked just like that big cat by ten pm!

But it was a blessing to have the time and means to do it.
