The Invisible Hand of the Market Gives Trump The Finger

So this happened yesterday:

Which stands in stark contrast to what Lord Damp Nut had been predicting for months:

So, Imma guessing that everyone in the stock market is relieved that the Mango-hued Shitgibbon got voted out?

Yeah. We’ll go with that.

They like Janet Yellen as Treasury Secretary. They’re also excited about all the covid vaccines coming along. But the economy is still a trainwreck, so don’t read too much into the market.

  2. But it was a sacred number, that 30,000! I swear, he’s like one rail of adderall away from dresing up like Edward G Robinson in “10 Suggestions</> Commandments” and hauling out the golden calf to worship….

Yah, I’m old enough to remember 800 being the sacred number to break, and that was not so-o-o-ooo long ago. (even though I’m older than a batholith)

BDR – beat me to it once again. I picked up on that right away. In the Church, er, Cult of tRumpism, the DJIA must be constantly elevated and venerated, as The Mighty Host on High.

Trump embraced Dow gains and ignored losses under his term. He made copies of the peak results and handed them out like certificates of some bizarre accomplishment. But when the stocks cratered after that, not a peep.

Everyone knows that the stock market is not a measure of the economy. It’s gambling.

Record high gold prices under tRump. Not sure if people’s lack of faith in the economy and future is something for him to brag about though. Gold prices starting to drop for some reason. /s
