Trump appears to be skipping a G20 session focused on pandemic preparedness

It does not appear President Trump will participate in a side-event at the G20 virtual summit focused on pandemic preparedness.

The event — which is due to begin this hour — will feature remarks from the leaders of Germany, France, South Korea and Argentina.

The goal of the event is to “foster international cooperation and to find solutions that protect people’s lives and livelihoods,” the Saudi release says.

Trump has just arrived at his golf course in Virginia and does not appear on the list of speakers at the event.

Trump earlier this morning appeared at the virtual summit. He and the rest of the G20 leaders appeared on small windows on the screen.

What could he contribute, after all? He’s not going to impart any words of wisdom, or have any salient advice on how we’re beating back the Virus, or the successful methods we’re using to combat it, or curtail the spread……….and he knows that all those leaders, (except maybe for the Saudi Prince,) have all called to congratulate Fightin’ Joe, yet none have called HIM, to commiserate, or to wish him well in any future endeavors.

And I’m hoping he’s so upset by it all, and so tensed up, that it’s ruining his game. Although I doubt if his scorecard would ever reflect such an effect.

    Howdy y’all!

I’m surprised that he went — if that is still acceptable in describing Zooming — at all. We all underestimate the extent of the narcissistic wound that losing the election has been for him. He is, literally, too embarrassed by losing to show his face in public. It’s why he won’t even go to Mar-A-Lago. The shame of losing is driving him to (a) find a way not to lose and (b) destroy all those who contributed to his loss. Surprise, that includes his supporters who didn’t vote in sufficient numbers for him to win and the GOP who didn’t provide sufficient support for him to win.

The narcissist playbook says at this juncture initiate auto-destruct sequence. Losing makes his delusion of perfection impossible to maintain ever again. The only thing he’ll ever be capable of doing for the rest of his life is re-litigating his grievance over losing and Russia-Russia-Russia and his brilliance at saving 2 million lives during #COVID19 and Obama.

If we make it sixty more days without him burning the White House down, we should count ourselves lucky. Nothing else matters to him but revenge from the smallest most petty venial vindictive act to the greatest most wanton acts of destructive depravity. Unfortunately, as @GSAEmily and other aides have demonstrated there are far too many in his administration willing to act on his indirect orders.

Nail on the head, Jack. Sicko sycophants, aiding & abetting. Brownshirts and Blackguards, destroying or obstructing, just because they lost this one.

And that’s all it is, is just One. One more election, there’ll be another one along soon, almost before you know it, and I have a feeling we better be ready, ready as hell for the next one.

Because now it’s been weaponized by being de-legitimized.

For some levity, let’s look at it another way, aeh: he’s trapped. He can’t get get away. He’s not a private citizen, everywhere he goes, everything he does, is under nine levels of scrutiny, from the secret service to his sycophant press. He can’t just fire up the trump-plane and fly to Israel, or Saudi Arabia. His git doesn’t have what it takes to sneak him out under the secret services’ noses. While there might be a cigarette boat to Epstein’s island waiting at Merde O’Lago, there’s no way to get on it. There’s no getting away.
