Can I Interest You in a Postprandial Stupid?

Stable Jenius

It’s all petty vengeance to Lord Damp Nut:

“President Trump told an ally that he knows he lost, but that he is delaying the transition process and is aggressively trying to sow doubt about the election results in order to get back at Democrats for questioning the legitimacy of his own election in 2016, especially with the Russia investigation.”

The worst part is that no matter what LDN won’t shut the fuck up and go away.

  3. You know, at the beginning of this I said he has the right to exercise his legal options even though it’s not going to change anything, but this is insane. He’s putting the entire country in jeopardy just so he can throw a tantrum and get revenge.

…spoiled rich kid, throwing a kicking, screaming, rolling-on-the-floor, raging temper tantrum, ’cause he cannot have his own way!

I keep remembering the benefit dinner (to honor big donors) he attended, walking right up to the donor table, sitting at the best remaining seat. Then the actual donor showed up and his place was already gone. I guess the hosts thought that calling the cops to have him removed, because he wasn’t gonna leave because they asked him to, would ruin the dinner. Looks like they might have had a point, but they did get left holding the bag, having to make it up to the big donor who was promised a spot.
They should have called the cops. They could have let him have his little tantrum over not getting a free dinner or the publicity of sitting at the donors’ table. Heck, they could have claimed it was part of the show, because if that had all gone down it would have been.
These folks could have used a comedian or a right wing propagandist to jump in and take care of this kind of thing. Some of those guys can think on their feet. I’m neither, by the way.

When Trump won, his advisers Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, and a handful of others said openly that they wanted to burn down the government. Trump, who has no knowledge of the Constitution or democracy or how government works, was glad for their guidance and helped however he could, bringing in unfit appointments for his administration and ignoring all of the rules about the presidency. He did what he wanted and what they wanted and Republicans cheered because he gave them Conservative judges, tax cuts and stock market gains.

So now that he’s lost, their schemes are threatened. And they want to make us pay for fighting back. They won’t concede, they are removing troops from the Middle East who could destabilize the region, they are sending out false claims about vote counts and they are trying to undercut efforts for Biden’s team to move on the vaccine effort.

It’s part of their plan. They’re going to drag this out and create as much damage as they can.

    • Based on the LTTE in my local rag, it is an accepted article of fact faith that:

1-This is no different than what we Dems did in 2016
2-The “Russia Thing” was a lie designed to damage LDN
3-This election has been deeply corrupt, with millions of mail-in ballots with no way to verify them
4-Sharpies were handed out to invalidate trump votes.
5-This election is still not settled.

It will now and forever be an accepted article of fact faith for the GOP, just as it is an accepted article of fact faith that Hillary Clinton deliberately let 4 Americans die in Benghazi for…’reasons’, an accepted article of fact faith that Barack Hussein Obama was not eligible to be president, and an accepted article of fact faith that 9/11 was Clinton’s fault, and the 2007 financial crash was Obama’s, ACORN’s and the CRA’s fault.

The GOP eagerly absorbed the Lost Cause Southern racists in the 50’s and 60’s, and their brain worms have infected the entire party and half the goddamned country.

Worse, when half the country decides that reality is subjective and bends to their beliefs, they assume everybody else does too.

That’s how they slide so easily to “Ahh you libtards are just the same believing that Russia interfered in 2016…that’s just a stupid conspiracy you believe in because you voted for the most unpopular candidate ever, and don’t want to admit it”

(although, I’ll admit I’ve seen that line as much on the so-called ‘left’ as much as the right…)

I’m not sure how we deal with as a country being someplace where objective reality is disputed.
