Some Afternoon Stupid?

Sweet, sweet relief

Remember Emily Murphy, head of the GSA, you know, the person who is not letting Handsome Joe Biden have access to any transition funds or national security personnel because SHE doesn’t believe that he won?

She’s looking for a job right now, because she won’t have one in 2021.

The top General Services Administration official who’s blocking President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team from accessing government resources ahead of his inauguration appears to be looking for a new job, according to a message obtained by ABC News.

Emily Murphy, head of the GSA, recently sent that message to an associate inquiring about employment opportunities in 2021, a move that some in Washington interpreted as at least tacitly acknowledging that the current administration soon will be gone.

Murphy has the power to decide — or “ascertain” — when election results are evident enough to trigger a transition of power, allowing the winning team access to career staff at federal agencies and internal government information including national security matters and plans for administering a COVID-19 vaccine.

  1. I’m sure she can find placement somewhere as a “Before” model.

Waitaminnit, what about tRump’s CoS? Wasn’t he the one ferreting out disloyal workers, and threatening anyone caught looking for future employment with getting “You’re Fired’ed?” What happened to that dastardly plan?

And I heard that Eric is looking into getting adopted by Joe & Jill….

  5. Law #2,984 of the exponentially growing list of “Dammit we shouldn’t have to make this shit a law, but then trump so here it is.” laws on Congress’s plate:

No some damned GSA political flunky does NOT HAVE THE POWER to decide when a president is elected.

BDR – my take on the situation is that she’s also in charge of arranging office spaces and meeting places, and so she’s having Melanomia practicing her witchcaft, er, Xmas-decorating skills in the deepest, dankest, darkest and gloomiest nether regions of various buildings in the Capitol, or nearby, to prepare some suitable spaces for them to occupy.

I recently saw an ad she placed in the Washington Daily, for “Dungeon, or dungeon-like spaces desired for short-term political gatherings.” But apparently they’re all being used to full capacity, for the S & M crowd, and for punishing those deemed unloyal to the Prez.

So I’m sure something will turn up, and she’ll be able to “ascertain” Biden as the prez-elect by Jan 19th, anyway.

      Howdy Bruce!

Trump and the GOP has shown that we need to codify what we thought would be done because of social norms, traditions, and decency. What kind of country are we when we have to codify our basic democratic values? But, it is what we have to do if we want to live in a democracy.

  6. Is there any accountability (i.e.: prosecution/jail time) for these kind of blatantly illegal shenanigans?

    • No. IAOKIYAR.

The first time some assistant to the assistant to the assistant undersecretary of Paper Shuffling in the BIDEN Administration gets overheard in a bar telling a friend they should vote for Cheetos in some silly online adverpoll for Lays, however we will have DRUDGE SIRENS EVERYWHERE, 42 Congressional hearings, three special prosecutors and half the world’s landmass of tree converted to Editorials about how brazenly the Biden Administration if BREAKING THE LAWWWW!!!!

Laws and norms ONLY EVER apply to Democrats.

      • We really need to stop the post-election “🎵healings, nothing more than healings🎵” shinola and start cracking some heads (-corrected from “ass”) instead. Worst thing Obama did, letting slippery Dick and his cabal of criminals off scot free. We need deterrents … the healing will begin when we do that.

    Howdy y’all!

I indulge Ten’s kind side again in order to draw your attention to taking action to POLITELY encourage the GSA administrator, Emily Murphy, to ascertain that Joe Biden won the election and begin the transition. In this post I give you a script to follow (if you need it), a tweet to tweet, if you need it, and all of the contact information for her. You can call, email, tweet, or contact her via the GSA website or you can do all four!

I humbly submit one of my most popular Call Your MoC-type posts at Ye Olde Blogge for your consideration,

question/suggestion: can’t some house committee subpoena miss emily to testify and justify her actions? i’m sure preznint-for-now stupid will block it but i’d think it would be worth a try and i’d be interested in hearing her reasoning. i’ve already tweeted nancy the same question.
