‘Oops,’ Louis DeJoy Did Not Say, ‘Ya Caught Me’

The wingnut at work

The WaPo:

“More than 150,000 ballots were caught in U.S. Postal Service processing facilities and not delivered by Election Day, agency data shows, including more than 12,000 in five of the states that have yet to be called for either President Trump or his Democratic challenger, Joe Biden.

“Despite assurances from Postal Service leaders that agency officials were conducting daily sweeps for misplaced ballots, the mail service acknowledged in a court filing Thursday that thousands of ballots had not been processed in time, and that more ballots were processed Wednesday than on Election Day.”

But there is good news, kinda:

Judge orders further sweeps of Postal Service facilities for undelivered ballots

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan of Washington, D.C., ordered the sweeps to continue until the end of the day Friday to ensure that all the mailed ballots are counted. The order, the result of a lawsuit brought by voter advocacy groups, is intended to mitigate concerns that a number of ballots in the Postal Service’s care potentially were not delivered.

And I heard Judge Emmet (my grandfather’s name,) say that he thought testimony before a Fed Grand Jury might persuade DeJoy(less) that he ought not fuck around any longer, and since his buddy tRump won’t be in a position to pardon him much longer, that should get his attention right quick.

Although, come to think on it, tRump just might issue mass pardons for both before and after any further lawbreaking, and he’s also expected to commute a bunch of sentences, from former cohorts and minions who’ve been languishing in prison. That’s right, he can issue “pre-pardons,” for those just-in-case moments.

Except for Michael Cohen, of course, that dirty rat-fink.

This mofo needs to be prosecuted. No question about that at all.

There’s no such thing as a preemptive presidential pardon, is there?

I hope he enjoys his stay in the grey bar hotel.

Unfortunately, none of it helps us in Florida, where 150K ballots were “delayed” and won’t be counted because they did not arrive by 7pm on election day. Look at the maps where the ballots were held up. Miami-Dade county had fewer than 200 ballots processed on election day.
