Against It Before He Was For It, Part Infinity

Lord Damp Nut has done it again!

“The Trump administration earlier Friday declined to issue an emergency declaration for California that would make hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding available for areas devastated by the Creek Fire and five others.”

“But President Trump reversed the decision a few hours later after a direct appeal from Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) in a midday phone call.”

I was going to post the story about his denying California FEMA funding for the wildfires, but by the time I got back from dropping off my ballot, he had already reversed himself.

Perhaps someone informed captain Dumb-Fuck that the areas that burn in California tend to be places that all full of Republicans.

–>Seeing as how Republicans have a habit of decamping to the wilderness areas to escape the dark evil freeloaders in the inner city.

  2. Tangentially related, but I am on the SpaceWeather mailing list and they have a picture of the Forest Creek fire taken by a camera attached to a Cosmic Ray ballon headed to the stratosphere. Apocalyptic is about the only word

    I. HATE. HIM. What a drooling dirt bag puss weasel. And that fact that every single one of you knows exactly who I mean says an enormous amount about that bloated, vomittous, offensive, disgusting, gelatinous mass of vile putrescence.

    There’s nothing like decisive leadership.

    Yep. Nothing like it.

Trump usually leads with his petulant, petty gut reaction and since California is true blue, his first reaction was to punish them. And since he doesn’t hold back the hate and responds to every situation via Twitter, his dumbfuckedness shows instantly.

Probably the sharper aides still around him (hopefully there are a couple) told him he would lose chunks of red voters in a big state and also denying funds to a state that contributes a lot of tax dollars might be a mistake. Having to walk it back galls him, but he’ll turn around and claim that he’s solely responsible for them getting the funds they need; a hero for a state that doesn’t sweep their forest floors.
