Citizens Don’t Trust Mango-Hued Prznint For Some Reason, Go Figure

(H/T Scissorhead D-Cap)

The WaPo tells us...

A roster of celebrities including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson endorsed it. A corporate coalition led by Microsoft rallied tens of thousands of recovered coronavirus patients to donate their blood plasma, rich in antibodies, to help treat others. Federal taxpayers bankrolled the initiative with at least $340 million. But when President Trump politicized and overhyped his administration’s authorization last month of convalescent plasma to treat COVID-19, he spawned confusion about the treatment and triggered a political backlash that specialists say has stifled an expected spike in demand.

¡GASP! You mean the Shitgibbon who cried hydroxychloroquine cannot be trusted?!

“Some people say, ‘I trust the president, and it’s good,’ and other people say, ‘If he says it works, I’m not touching it.’” — Arthur Caplan, a medical ethics specialist.

I dunno, given that Prznint Stupid suggest mainlining bleach and shoving a lightbulb up your ass, I’m kinda on the side of not being his lab rat.

Convalescent plasma is a tried and true treatment and a reasonable idea. However, just like everything else its efficacy needs to be tested. When to give it, how much, etc.

Like we’re used to President Stupid doesn’t want to put in the work, he wants the easy miracle. Of course somebody else is ultimately going to actually DO the work, not LDN.

Donny has totally ruined any trust I might have had in any kind of cure. That’s just how it is.
