Lunchtime Poll

(Scissorhead @NamelessCynic of the twitterverse)

Regular readers know I don’t trust nor follow the national polls; we don’t vote nationally, we vote by state. So with that caveat out of the way, this Navigator Research poll does tell us something important:

Key takeaways:

  • An increasing majority say Trump wants what is best for himself over what is best for the country.
  • The public sees Trump as having fallen short on promises of restoring law and order, making America respected, making America great again, and putting America first.
  • African Americans strongly disagree with Trump’s claim they are doing better under Trump than they have under any president since Abraham Lincoln.

In other words, the majority of Americans think that all of Lord Damp Nut’s 2016 Goat Rodeo Campaign Promises have not materialized. It’s a small thing, but it is a thing.

That said, it could help explain why there is no agenda for the 2020 Goat Rodeo, why there are no campaign promises, just cult of personality pledges and threats of doom.

Page 10 had a twist – they broke it out into 4 categories:
Dem, Ind, Fox Rep, & Non-Fox Rep – and it does show a significant difference between fox watchers and non-fox watchers.
I don’t understand the +/- rankings, though. Example, one group went from -4 a couple years ago to -16 now for a rating in the bar chart of 39, for some reason. Yep, I don’t understand how to read this, mostly.

Biden should repeat at every opportunity, loudly and bluntly: If you reelect TRUMP! this year, next year say hi to EBOLA!
