Regular readers know I don’t trust nor follow the national polls; we don’t vote nationally, we vote by state. So with that caveat out of the way, this Navigator Research poll does tell us something important:
- An increasing majority say Trump wants what is best for himself over what is best for the country.
- The public sees Trump as having fallen short on promises of restoring law and order, making America respected, making America great again, and putting America first.
- African Americans strongly disagree with Trump’s claim they are doing better under Trump than they have under any president since Abraham Lincoln.
In other words, the majority of Americans think that all of Lord Damp Nut’s 2016 Goat Rodeo Campaign Promises have not materialized. It’s a small thing, but it is a thing.
That said, it could help explain why there is no agenda for the 2020 Goat Rodeo, why there are no campaign promises, just cult of personality pledges and threats of doom.
