And Yet, The USPS Persists

This sounds like good news:

Intel officials contradict Trump on voting by mail

The intelligence community has seen no evidence that foreign powers intend to manipulate mail-in voting in the 2020 election, senior Trump administration officials said Wednesday, undercutting a claim by President Donald Trump that such fraud “will be the scandal of our times.”

“We have no information or intelligence that any nation-state threat actor is engaging in any activity to undermine the mail-in vote or ballots,” said a top official with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, who joined other senior intel community officials from the Department of Homeland Security and FBI to brief media on the status of foreign election threats. They spoke with reporters on condition they not be named.

But another way of reading that is simply what we already know: Hair Füror is lying again/more, and so his machinations to destroy the USPS are proven to be more irrational than we thought. The man is nuts.

Keep up the pressure on your Representatives, especially if you are in a red state.

UPDATE 1: McClatchy

“Democrats in one of the most pivotal battleground states are pushing past concerns about the efficiency of the Postal Service and making voting by mail a centerpiece of their election mobilization strategy.”

“Despite a president who has continually maligned the process, Republican lawsuits aimed at restricting the practice, and an edict from former First Lady Michelle Obama at last week’s Democratic National Convention to ‘vote in person if we can,’ Pennsylvania Democrats have settled on a concerted effort to urge their voters to cast ballots through the mail — a campaign that already appears to be paying dividends.”

“Democrats in Pennsylvania account for two-thirds of the 1.3 million mail ballot requests that have already been made.”

They don’t mention the primary rule of this sort of claim – it’s always projection.
But I do see they kept their comments to “foreign powers” – technically accurate, I’d guess.

My wife and I received our mail ballots today (we requested them online). Since it’s before the acceptance speech, it must a conspiracy.
