Steve Bannon’s legendary animal attractiveness on display
(CNN)New York federal prosecutors on Thursday charged President Donald Trump’s former campaign adviser Steve Bannon and three others with defrauding donors of hundreds of thousands of dollars as part of a fundraising campaign purportedly aimed at supporting Trump’s border wall.
Bannon was arrested Thursday morning, according to a spokesman for the US attorney’s office. Bannon’s lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Bannon will make his initial court appearance in New York later Thursday, according to the US attorney’s office.

President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., is seeking to distance himself from the “We Build the Wall” crowdfunding campaign after former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon and three others were arrested and charged with defrauding donors.
Said a spokesman: “Don gave one speech at a single We Build the Wall event over a year ago with a group of angel moms and besides that, has no involvement with their organization.”

Couldn’t happen to a shittier guy. I expect Trump will disavow even knowing Bannon, so we’ll see how far Bannon gets in the courts. At any rate, this could be Bannon’s Al Capone time, where he gets caught for financial wrongdoing.

“I have no idea” is a statement an actual smart Trump would’ve said over and over during his business career; it would’ve led to him investing sensibly and actually being a billionaire instead of having to pretend. “I have no idea” is also a statement that would be accurate if uttered by Trump on virtually any topic.
