Is It A Conspiracy If You Do It In The Open?

Stable Jenius

Our Stable Jenius seems to have learned one thing from being impeached: be brazen. The WaPo reports:

Speaking with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Network on Thursday morning, Trump appeared to confirm that he opposes Democrats’ proposed funding for mail-in balloting and the U.S. Postal Service in order to make it more difficult to expand voting by mail.

“Now they need that money in order to make the post office work, so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,” he said. “But if they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting, because they’re not equipped to have it.”

Trump also alluded to this idea at a news conference on Wednesday evening, noting that Democrats are now asking for $3.5 billion for universal mail-in voting and an additional $25 billion for the Postal Service.

“They don’t have the money to do the universal mail-in voting. So therefore, they can’t do it, I guess,” Trump said. “Are they going to do it even if they don’t have the money?”

He added: “But therefore they don’t have it. They don’t have the money to do the universal mail-in votes.”

And: “Therefore, they can’t do the universal mail-in vote. It’s very simple. How are they going to do it if they don’t have the money to do it?”

It’s incredible to me: he’s announcing his plans and means, and he’s daring us to do something about it.

And I’m sure there will be a “strongly-worded letter” forthcoming, denouncing his actions in no uncertain terms. Having an AG as corrupt as he is has truned out to be the biggest boon he could hope for.

More brazen? Sure. Dementia–saying the quiet parts out loud? Likely. Knows that his Senate toadies won’t do a thing? Absolutely. Only good, Republican absentee ballots should be allowed. No fraudulent Democratic ballots.

“And so I said to myself, ‘This Rusher thing is just a made-up story.'”
This has been this criminal’s M.O. from the beginning of his Presidency.
If John Dillinger and I agree to rob the First National Bank on Broadway next Sunday and put an ad in the NYT to advertise the fact, that doesn’t make us innocent, just very stupid criminals.
Trump will always be the very stupidest of criminals.
I hope the GOP Senate pays dearly for enabling this felon to continue breaking the laws in plain sight. We couldn’t possibly have a more disgraceful creature as President*.

Does the law say ballots have to be delivered by the USPS?

Could they be delivered ‘in person”? Or by persons for their community?

All (or most?) counties have drop boxes for the election board where you can hand deliver your absentee ballot to a secure box without handling by the USPS. Plan on it.

He’s already learned that no one will do anything about anything. I guess that’s been the lesson of his entire life: his superpower is Getting Away With Shit.

Nothing to do but get and stay angry enough to do everything possible to vote no matter what it takes, and doing everything possible to encourage others to do the same. We’ll be requesting absentee ballots far enough in advance that hopefully it won’t be an issue getting those, but then delivering those directly to the dropbox at our county election board. Failing that, I’m of an age where I really really do not want covid but yet not so old or with so many predisposing contitions I wouldn’t be willing to risk it to vote this absurd, fascist buffoon out of the White House.

    Howdy y’all!

Trump is neither stupid or brazen, just mentally ill, and that’s the way the media should be covering his antics: symptoms of his various mental illnesses. In this case, he blurts whatever he is thinking. He can’t help it because of his executive dysfunction. He is incapable of curbing his impulses. If he’s thinking it, he’s saying it. If he’s feeling it, he’s acting on it.

His narcissism means he has to brag about his evil genius plans — he’s way too the very model of the modern stable genius for us to catch on to what he’s doing, don’tcha know — because if you execute your evil genius plans and no one knows, does it really count as an evil genius plan? Do you really get credit for it? I don’t think so.

Trump’s internal world is much worse than the conflicted contradictory contorted place that we get the daily glimpse of as he blunders his way through life. And, just think, his kids were raised up in this exact same way.

Trump is mentally ill. His symptoms are on display for all to see. He’s begging us — Mother Pence and the Senate Repubes — do something to put us all out of his misery, but they just won’t help a brother in need.

He has a point, sadly. He claimed unlimited power, and we even impeached him to no real effect. And, of course, he thinks he can do whatever he wants.
It’s not like there is a Department of Justice, or even a Congress to stand up to him anymore.
