He Seems Nice

THE CAPTION: “Vacation house of the Fuhrer. Seeing the Eagles Nest has been on my bucket list for a while, it did not disappoint. Strange to hear so many laughs and share such a good time with my brother where only 79 years ago a supreme evil shared laughs and good times with his compatriots.”

Let’s meet Madison Cawthorn, who is the Republican running to replace Mark Meadows in the House.

Madison is a dreamy white supremacist from North Carolina. His hobbies include visiting the Fatherland and taking selfies in Hitler’s Eagles Nest vacation home, while waxing that visiting The Führer’s joint has always been on his bucket list. Oddly, nothing about invading Poland.

Read the entire Jezebel article, it’s illuminating and important to learn how someone like Cawthorn could get so far.

Politico reached out to Cawthorn:

— WE’VE REACHED OUT out to CAWTHORN to ask if he could explain the images, and the accompanying captions. He didn’t respond. He posted a response to Facebook, in which he said he was celebrating the victory over Nazis. The GOP leadership — including the NRCC — has settled on the message that they “agree with Madison Cawthorn that Hilter was evil,” as spokesman CHRIS PACK said.

Uh-huh.

Oh, and remember: always punch the Nazi.

Keep punching!

Well I’m glad they’ve clarified that! Because otherwise we’d have our doubts….

Husband and I went to the Eagles Best 10 years ago; it was part of the tour. The sense of evil still resides in that building.
