I don’t know if Prznint McGrifter can run out the clock on this:

Trump’s lender Deutsche Bank reportedly subpoenaed by NYC prosecutors, hands over documents

Prosecutors in New York have subpoenaed President Donald Trump’s financial records from his longtime lender Deutsche Bank in a criminal probe, according to a report.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office last year issued the subpoena for the records, The New York Times reported Wednesday, citing four people familiar with the inquiry. The move suggests the inquiry into Trump’s business practices is broader than previously known, the Times said.

Deutsche Bank complied with the subpoena, supplying the DA Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office with financial statements and other records Trump and the Trump Organization had given the bank when he was seeking loans, two people familiar with the inquiry told the Times.

So DA Cyrus Vance already has his hands on the evidence.  Things should move fast now, and yes, the state can prosecute a sitting president, even Prznit Stupid.

  2. That the current edition of the Trump Crime Family is grifting comes as no surprise. What hurts is how dumb they must think we are,

“They can prosecute a sitting President”? That would bring me no end of joy, but with Billy Barr in the mix, I just can’t see it happening.
    Still, a great idea though.
As a Ca. Bay Area Native, I never had any use for New York, I can see that is going to change now, Go, New York, get him, grrrr.
It couldn’t happen to a more deserving (attempted) felon.

Cy Vance doesn’t answer to Low Barr, and SCOTUS just ruled “No, preznits are NOT above the law!” in a case directly related to this investigation. This greases the skids for force Mazars to hand over Al Capone’s Mango Mussolini’s books, which are the other half of this banking fraud and money laundering case
