A day after the 4th Reich removed Trump-Virus data collection from the Centers for Disease Control to the Department of Health and Human Services, public-facing data was death-panelled. The CDC’s hospital-capacity dashboard was taken down, then restored with the note:
Now, who could have thunk that this would upset people? I mean, our Stable Jenius, Lord Damp Nut hisself wouldn’t miss the data, so who would. Amirite?
No I am not right! The administration was quickly forced to put most of it back, but now we know their secret plan to cure the Trump-Virus: bury the
dead hookers, er, data and then the data cannot be reported, capische?
The data that the CDC can no longer update includes current inpatient and ICU-bed capacity, health-care worker staffing, and PPE-supply status. All information of which might be really valuable for managing a crisis.
“To cut [the CDC] out and to take it out of their hands and to build, frankly, what sounds like a redundant system that would be—and it’s unclear where it’s going to be— housed in the White House, I think that just risked really politicizing what we need to have: a science-based, fact-based capability, which should be in the CDC.”Lisa Monaco, who served as the homeland security adviser to President Barack Obama
