Whichever one of you mugs who had The First Shady shills beans from the White House on your Dystopia 2020 Bingo Card, please collect your winnings.

Ivanka Trump posted a photo posing with Goya beans as people called for a boycott — but it may have violated government ethics rules

  • Ivanka Trump shared a picture of herself with a can of Goya beans, along with the company’s slogan.
  • She did so after the Hispanic-owned company faced a backlash for its CEO praising President Donald Trump, prompting leading conservatives to urge people to buy its products.
  • Reuters noted that the post might have violated government ethics rules, which prohibit those in public office from endorsing products.
  • Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to Ivanka Trump’s tweet, writing in Spanish. The play on Goya’s slogan said: “If it’s Trump, it has to be corrupt.”

Yawn. Call me when a Trump does not violate any available ethics. This is a dog bites man story. Or, a succubus bites beans I guess.

What was this idiot thinking, or am I engaged in thinking based on a major false assumption? Plus, she violates the law over a can of beans?

  5. Richard Portman says:

That fool . I won’t be buying Goya products anymore . Why would i ? We got plenty other people.

Do you think Princess knows how to use a can opener?

Awesome. Goys for Goya. Delicious with cabbage. A social distancing solution.

      And mayonnaise. Don’t forget.
What I dig about that ridiculous photo is its nostalgic ancientry. That’s an advertising approach that was being brilliantly pantsed by Billy Wilder and Marilyn Monroe in “Seven Year Itch”. In 1956.
      “I had onions at lunch
      and garlic at dinner…
But he’ll never know, because I stay Kissing Sweet
      the new Dazzledent Way!”

Of course Marilyn makes you want to try Dazzledent. Ivanka makes you want to throw a 5-day-old rancid cream pie in her face.

Jeez, it must be like that scene from Blazing Saddles at the White House dinner table.

    • MDavis says:

They don’t actually eat them. It’s like trump posing with the taco salad where he snuck in a photo op for his little helpers – it’s just posing. No one sees him take a bite.

  9. MDavis says:

This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I have to give some props to the Goya CEO. He expressed an opinion by praising trump, which indicates he is one of trump’s people (rich, tax avoidant, likely corrupt) and didn’t back down when challenged.
It’s good to know where people stand and he let us know it wasn’t a mistake on his part. He really does stand for the rich against the vulnerable.

    • MDavis says:

On the other hand, what kind of kickback are they getting from Goya’s CEO? They wouldn’t do this if there wasn’t something in it for them.
BTW – it’ll be really easy for me to boycott Goya. And appropriate. In case my prior comment was unclear on this point.
      (it was)
