About Yesterday…

Hair Füror tells America what he thinks of, well, Americans:

“We are now in the process of defeating the radical left, the anarchists, the agitators, the looters, and the people who, in many instances, have absolutely no clue what they are doing. … We will never allow an angry mob to tear down our statues, erase our history, indoctrinate our children.”

NYTimes:

At Mt. Rushmore and the White House, Trump Updates ‘American Carnage’ Message for 2020

“President Trump used the spotlight of the Fourth of July weekend to sow division during a national crisis, denying his failings in containing the worsening coronavirus pandemic while delivering a harsh diatribe against what he branded the ‘new far-left fascism.’

“In a speech at the White House on Saturday evening and an address in front of Mount Rushmore on Friday night, Mr. Trump promoted a version of the ‘American carnage’ vision for the country that he laid out during his inaugural address — updated to include an ominous depiction of the recent protests over racial justice.

“In doing so, he signaled even more clearly that he would exploit race and cultural flash points to stoke fear among his base of white supporters in an effort to win re-election. As he has done in the past, he resorted on Friday to exaggerated, apocalyptic language in broadly tarring the nationwide protests against entrenched racism and police brutality, saying that ‘angry mobs’ sought to ‘unleash a wave of violent crime in our cities’ and that those seeking to deface monuments want to ‘end America.’

“Mr. Trump followed up with his remarks on Saturday from the South Lawn of the White House, which sounded more like a campaign rally, and repeated the themes from the previous evening. ‘We will never allow an angry mob to tear down our statues, erase our history, indoctrinate our children or trample on our freedoms,’ Mr. Trump said, claiming that protesters — who have won broad public support, including from corporate America — were ‘not interested in justice or healing.’”

Lord Damp Nut’s  Adderall Address was full of crap like that, and of course his own unique delivery:

Tengrain, is the first picture real? I mean, it could be, but * * *

“Somnambulant.” What a perfect one-word description of this shitshow.

    “There is a growing danger that threatens every blessing, *** *** *** *** our ancestors fought so hard for, * * * struggled, *** *** they bled, *** *** to secure **************.”

And he’s still at the of his game with those fantastic name pronunciations. “Ulyssesius S Grant.” Priceless!

      Redhand –

I don’t really know if the picture is real, BUT the media types I follow on Twitter used it (without accredation), so I kinda think it is? I’m not sure it matter much.

There were many other clips from the speech, one in particular in which he combines Vietnam and Desert Storm wars was particularly choice, and then another when he tries to use sweeping as a verb and it goes off on swifting, tries to correct it, and finally gives up.

It was an object-lesson of just saying no to drugs.

A drugged-up trainwreck. But there was no snuffling, so it must be something different from his usual cocktail. I’ll try to find the Vietnam and Desert Storm clip, but I have to ration how much I listen to him lest I blow a fuse.

There was tons of snorting and snuffling, but outdoors it isn’t as noticeable. You’ll hear it if you listen closely.

I suggest if you’re close to blowing to leave it alone. It was as dark and disturbing as his inauguration address.

I’m not going to listen to the whole thing, but Yas had the clip involving Vietnam and Desert storm, “Literary Corner: Swiftian,” http://yastreblyansky.blogspot.com/2020/07/literary-corner-swiftian.html, which is its own special OMFG.

I made a literary suggestion of my own there. http://disq.us/p/2adaa7l

It’s amazing, BTW, how many “the likes of which nobody has ever seen before” incidents Trump has experienced in his 74 years.

That clip – he lost his place on the teleprompter. He flubbed a line and instead of just correcting and moving on he tried to bs his way back out of it. By the time he got back to his teleprompter he’d missed stuff and he just read what was there. Another commenter pointed this out and watching the clip made it extremely clear.

Both of Trump’s publicity stunts this weekend were obscene. His lunatic cult members sat cheek to cheek at Mt Rushmore and no masks were seen, but there were lots of cowboy hats. And his White House soireé looked woefully unattended. Every time lately that he opens his ugly mouth, fewer people are there to listen. Maybe once Covid 19 has worked through his crowds, he’ll have even fewer followers.

There’s been speculation that top photo is Lord Dampnut’s orgasm face, but we’d have to ask Stormy or Isanka for confirmation.

Just reporting in to say Mrs Bear and I survived the immediate effects of the “visit.” Now we wait the inevitable rise of cases here in western SD over the next two weeks.
I hope the orange stain can be removed from the Six Grandfathers (Lakota name for Mt Rushmore before the white men named it for some white guy).

He repeated the inaugural address with extra doom and gloom, but I thought the whole idea was that he was going to prevent all that stuff.
I want to hear him explain that.
I mean, I know his answer would be Hillary and Obama did it, but I want to hear him explain that with extra push back.

The projection is just so monumental.
“We are now in the process of defeating the radical leftsupporting the radical right, the anarchists, the agitators, the looters, and the people who, in many instances, have absolutely no clue what they are doing. …”
    Edited for accuracy.

I only heard bits and pieces of this on BBC and NPR. I could clearly hear him slurring his words. He was drugged again.

Unlike Star Trek’s Patterns of Force, he isn’t being drugged against his will, allegedly, to force him to say things he doesn’t personally believe in.
Other aspects of that show – well, Gill was being used as a puppet for nefarious purposes.
Things were better when I could go to the Brothers Grimm for analogous stories.
