About Last Night…

(Is it too soon to use this graphic again?)

Prznint Stupid gave a speech last night —maybe you heard about it— in which he condemned, Mao-like,  a “left-wing cultural revolution.”

President Donald Trump on Friday issued a fiery condemnation of a “left-wing cultural revolution” he said is mounting a “radical assault” on American democracy in a speech steeped in historical hyperbole delivered against the stunning backdrop of Mount Rushmore on the observed Fourth of July.

“Angry mobs are trying to tear down statues of our founders, deface our most sacred memorials and unleash a wave of violent crime in our cities,” Trump said. “They think the American people are weak and soft and submissive.”

Actually, Hair Füror, we think that you are weak and soft, and submissive… to Russia.

Anyway, it was not the uplifting thoughts and words that one goes looking for on a national holiday, especially one during a pandemic in which the US is leading the world in deaths, you know, due to Trump’s complete incompetence and abject failure.

It was Jason Miller’s American Carnage 2, a speech that we hope derp Füror does not get to give in 2021 January.

UPDATE  1- Tiger Beat ‘s morning email thingie gives us a sample of headlines:

THE NEW YORK TIMES lead photo on A1 from yesterday’s fireworks demonstration at Mount Rushmore was an AL DRAGO shot of the crowd, with no social distancing and no masks. A1 PDFTHE ARGUS LEADER in S.D. had a photo of an empty stage, with the subhed: “Protestors aim to disrupt Trump’s Mount Rushmore visit” … THE WASHINGTON POST had nothing on its front about President DONALD TRUMP’S visit to Rushmore. N.Y. DAILY NEWSran an illustration of the presidents on Mount Rushmore with worried eyes, with the headline “HAPPY FOURTH?”

THE STAR TRIBUNE ran a photo of TRUMP in front of Rushmore. … MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL: “Biden’s voter enthusiasm is limited: But there’s strong will to vote against Trump”

WHAT THE PRESIDENT WILL SEE … N.Y. POST ran a big photo of MICHAEL COHEN smiling while dining out at the pricey Le Bilboquet in Manhattan with this headline: “YOU CALL THIS HARD TIME?”

AP/MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL, S.D., by Stephen Groves, Darlene Superville and Aamer Madhani: “At Mount Rushmore, Trump digs deeper into nation’s divisions”: “At the foot of Mount Rushmore and on the eve of Independence Day, President Donald Trump dug deeper into America’s divisions by accusing protesters who have pushed for racial justice of engaging in a ‘merciless campaign to wipe out our history.’

“The president, in remarks Friday night at the South Dakota landmark, offered a discordant tone to an electorate battered by a pandemic and seared by the recent high-profile killings of Black people. He zeroed in on the desecration by some demonstrators of monuments and statues across the country that honor those who have benefited from slavery, including some past presidents.

“We will not be silenced” said Trump who.never.shuts.up
It was also a direct quote of the tiki torch carrying Nazis at Charlottesville in 2017. The racist dogwhistle has really become a racist air horn at this point.

I believe I described it here earlier as an “Air-raid warning siren signalling an imminent nuclear strike.”

Angry mobs are trying to tear down statues of our founders, deface our most sacred memorials…

Aren’t the statues being torn down portrayals of Confederacy leaders? That’s declaring his loyalties.

I presume LDN believes his face should be up there too.

  4. osirisopto says:

So the MHSG has declared that we are under assault by far-left fascists while simultaneously demonizing, and attempting to criminalize anyone who is anti-fascist.

His pocket nazi really does think everyone is as stupid as Lord Damp Nut otherwise he wouldn’t be trying to pass off this juvenile bullshit as a speech.

    I finally followed that link.
Mostly projection. Accuse “the radical left” of everything LDN and the GOP have been doing, and then throw in the gratuites Noem (SD governor) statement that they will protect Mt. Rushmore from being destroyed or (get this) altered.
So what’s the deal with the graphic you used for this post? Isn’t that a direct contradiction of the good governor’s statement? Well – it’s isn’t the actual monument, but the spirit of the thingis right out there for everyone to see.

  6. No way could I listen to his drivel, but I caught the highlights. Or lowlights. A truly disgusting person.

The Lincoln Project had some fun with his pronunciation of “totallie-tario-tism.” But please, tell us again how Biden “can’t talk.”
