Tulsa, Revisited

The Daily Beast tells us:

Former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain has been hospitalized with the coronavirus, his team announced Thursday afternoon. News of his diagnosis comes just days after Cain appeared at President Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was attended by scores of maskless supporters. In a statement, Cain’s team said he was informed that he had tested positive on June 29, and “had developed symptoms serious enough” that he required hospitalized in the Atlanta area on July 1. “Mr. Cain did not require a respirator, and he is awake and alert,” the statement says, adding, “There is no way of knowing for sure how or where Mr. Cain contracted the coronavirus.”

We said just the other day that we should start seeing the effect from the Tulsa rally. Trump is a vector, as if any of us need to be told that.

I’m hoping for a recovery, though honestly I don’t give a damn about Herman Cain. But he could do a good deed and convince Possum Hollar to make up and stay 6-feet away or 6-feet under.

UPDATE 1: Maybe not so much –

1 mask, as far as the eye can see. And on a Black cowboy with a white hat. And the mask says “tRump,” or it would likely have been ripped from his face by now.

I see they put all the black people in the same section, presumably so one could see them. All twelve of them. Otherwise their faces would have been lost in a sea of whiteness. You know, where’s Waldo?

I’d love to be charitable and not horrible, but what the hell: you make bad choices, you get bad results. Also, if you gloat about your bad choices, your bad results are even worse. Because fuck you for putting other people in danger.

These people- they scare the shit out of me- not because of the virus- but because of their absolute lack of empathy, lack of common sense and lack of humanity. The blatant disregard for human life is just astonishing- and these fuckers dare to call themselves pro-life.
