Tiger Beat on the Potomac (thanks Charlie) (emphasis mine):

President Donald Trump on Friday cast the release of unexpectedly encouraging unemployment statistics as a salve to the twin crises ravaging the United States — seeking political relief in the positive economic news amid continued criticism of his response to nationwide racial unrest and the coronavirus pandemic…

But the president took his promotion of the jobs numbers a step further, describing them as a “tremendous tribute to equality” and declaring it a “great day” for George Floyd, the 46-year-old black man whose killing by a Minneapolis police officer has ignited protests across all 50 states.

“We all saw what happened last week. We can’t let that happen. Hopefully, George is looking down right now, and saying, ‘This is a great thing that’s happening for our country,’” Trump said. “This is a great day for him. It’s a great day for everybody. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality.”

Other than that whole being MURDERED thingie..

I. Can’t. Even.

I knew the unemployment numbers would jazz him up; he practically ran to the Rose Garden to brag. But the reference to George Floyd was incredibly terrible. Proving yet again that Trump has literal shit for brains.

  4. Also, much of this (as pointed out by Rebecca on Wonkette) is the result of the Paycheck Protection part of the stimulus package…which runs out in a week or so. At which point, anyone getting paid through that is SOL, all those “loans” vanish into the ether, never to be repaid, and … everyone’s yer-fireded again.

I can’t decide if this is a sign the MHSG is the stupidest person on the planet and one of his staff is attempting to piss-off the protestors to incite more riots, or he’s just the stupidest person on the fucking planet.

Many Native American Cultures believe it is disrespectful to speak of the dead. Then again, LDN is no frigging Geronimo. Also too, those unemployment numbers that he calls great Great Great are also fake Fake FAKE.

And for an additional 2¢ – Traditionally speaking, when the lights go out at the Whitehouse that usually means the President is dead. However, in this particular instance, it means his entire administration is now dead to the world. Since then, I like to think of them as dead men walking.

Probably not. It is hard to stay calm when a bunch of weird fucking freaks from who knows where are burning houses and killing people. We can’t support these trump people anymore. They brought it here, shouting 2nd ammendment! Shouting Christian values!
Make America Great Again! Oh fuck if i don’t die of despair or grief or old age, those fools will kill me anyway. This is just the beginning of my thoughts when talking about those monsters.

This is not a great day for George Floyd because he is dead, murdered. It is not a great day for his family and friends. It is another day of grief and anger. It is not a great day for anyone. One of these days . Hitler died in a bunker. Mussolini got strung up on a lamp post. Ceausescu got shot against a wall along with Elena. Just saying that we need to ditch these assholes and send them home before it is too late. I still don’t understand why we have to do this again.

  12. There are many present classifications for unemployment, ranging from “Temporarily Furloughed” all the way to “You’re Fired’d,” and some of the gentler employee separations from their jobs are NOT counted.
