The Modern Republican Party

Starting Wednesday, Impeached Prznint Stupid will spend the rest of the 2020 Goat Rodeo insisting that he’s been acquitted. Everyone-not-a-Republican must say —every eff’ing day— “That’s a lie.”

Nancy Pelosi:

“You can’t be acquitted if you don’t have a trial, and you can’t have a trial if you don’t have witnesses and you don’t have documents.”

Republicans have moved on to the inevitable, “yeah, he totally did it, and it was wrong, but I don’t care” phase of the scandal. But, as Republicans were covering-up, we had yet another reason to #ITMFA.

The NYTimes tells us that another leak sprung from John Bolton’s unpublished book and it shows us that Prznint Stupid was ordering the Ukraine extortion scheme much earlier than previously known.

Stupid ordered The Mustache of War to help with the scheme in early May, which was more than two months before Trump’s notorious “perfect” phone call with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Also in the room:

  • Wrong-Again Rudy
  • (Acting) White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney
  • White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, who, you might have noticed,  is ON Trump’s EFF’ING IMPEACHMENT DEFENSE TEAM

You cannot make up shit like that. And it cannot be entered into evidence.

We must ensure that the 22 GOP senators up for reelection lose their jobs. Each day as new evidence dribbles out, we have to hang it around their necks. They bought it, they need to wear it.

Eiron was having a good day Friday, even if we did not: POS, er, SOS Mike Pompeo met with Zelensky Friday and denied that military aid or a White House visit were ever conditioned on the announcement of investigations. I guess no one gave him the memo that it’s cool now to say, “So?”

Let’s face facts – there WON’T be an election come Nov., and maybe never ever again. tRump’s next step will be to appoint himself as “Preznit For Life,” or until “I don’t wanna anymore.” We will then have Jr. Mintz for a couple of decades, and then Ivanka, producing the worst rule by nepotistic monarchism the world has ever seen.

“While the United States Constitution does set parameters for the election of federal officials, state law, not federal, regulates most aspects of elections in the U.S., including primaries, the eligibility of voters (beyond the basic constitutional definition), the running of each state’s electoral college, as well as the running of state and local elections. All elections—federal, state, and local—are administered by the individual states.[2]”

Unless Hair Furor declares Martial Law, and forbids elections, “in the interest of National Security, and the Preznit’s opinion of what’s in the best interest of the U.S..”

And it’s that finding, the result of the phony “Impeachment Trial” that’s gonna ratfuck us the most.
And it’s the natural continuation of “deeply-held religious beliefs.”

While I knew that the Senators would not vote to allow testimony or evidence and I know that they will vote to acquit the Orange Asshole on Wednesday, I am glad they postponed his two significant gloatfests at the Superbowl and the SOTU. Granted, he’ll still blather on like the moron he is, but he can’t squawk about his acquittal officially until after that happens.

I emailed my disgrace of a Senator Rob Portman and told him how ashamed and embarrassed I am about his vote against witnesses and that I look forward to the rest of his term ending in flames. This is the point where we get fired up, make calls, write postcards, donate, and support our Democratic candidates.

Are we looking at further strides by the Republicans toward a monarchy? As long as they bend the knee for Trump, yes. But we know what and whom we’re up against and we just have to keep fighting.
