As we’ve noted before, we at MPS do not comment much on international events, it’s not our wheelhouse and the few times we do, it blows up in our face.
So here we go!
Besides failing to remove that orange blot on our history, yesterday also was the day that the UK left the EU, and for those of us who think that the USA cornered the market in Stupid, well…
Anyway, no one knows what happens next, will the 4 kingdoms split (England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) with some staying in the EU? It’s possible. There’s all the questions about the economy and trade that originally brought Brexit to Old Blighty that still need to be hammered out, so really yesterday was more deeply symbolic than earth-shattering. I didn’t look at the bidness news to see if the movers and shakers are panicked.
It’s going to be a rollercoaster for our friends over there, so have some tea and sympathy. PM Boris Johnson is their Trump, and one could argue that he wouldn’t be there if ours wasn’t here first.
