One out of Three Republicans Agree That Trump is a Crook!

Oh, Jeebus, he said what?

This WaPo analysis of the recent Pew poll will put some fiber in your diet (emphasis mine):

“…the crosstabs of the Pew poll help illustrate the complexities of Republican attitudes toward the president’s conduct that are relevant to consider as House impeachment managers continue to lay out their case this afternoon. The survey shows that 47 percent of Republicans say Trump has definitely or probably done things that are unethical since launching his 2016 campaign. Another 34 percent say Trump has “probably not” behaved unethically, and just 18 percent say he’s “definitely” not.

“On a separate question in the survey, 32 percent of Republicans say they think Trump has definitely or probably done things that broke the law. Among self-described moderate and liberal Republicans, 48 percent say Trump has probably or definitely done illegal things since launching his campaign. Only 1 in 5 conservative Republicans say this. But, but, but: Among the 1 in 3 Republicans who think Trump has likely done illegal things, 59 percent say he should remain in office. Another 38 percent say he should be removed.”

It’s a cult.

They recognize that Prznint Stupid is a crook, but they don’t think it matters, you know, because he’s their crook.

Republicans are dug in, regardless. They will sacrifice their family farms, their homes, their healthcare, their Social Security, and their own families for Trump. Republican House members and Senators will give up their reputations, their moral code, the supposed dignity of office and their obligations to their own constituents for Trump.

The Republicans are stupid enough to believe the crap they’ve been given. And those who don’t believe will go along with the party anyway because all they want is to “own the Dems”. It’s as simple as that. They want to own the Dems.

And we have torn the tables in November. The impeachment trial is important as a mark in history of our fight for democracy, but Trump won’t be convicted. We have to vote him out.

I couldn’t possibly say it better than Donna did. My hat’s off to you, Ma’am. I would simply add that this November the choice is between democracy and fascism. It’s our Weimar Moment.

Thanks, Redhand. It’s true that our country is teetering on the precipice of fascism and we must pull ourselves back onto the sturdy ground of democracy. This is not hyperbole.

It’s because donny has elevated the “dog whistle” to almost concert symphony levels, and his base loves, Loves, LOVES it! Racism, Misogynism, both Semite and anti-Semite protestations, depending on the day, or even the TIME of day, he’s “Da Man.” And they lap it up, eager for more, and even more. His rallies may not be fully-attended these days, (even with paid attendants!), but the ones who DO show up are even more rabid and angry than ever, and that’s saying a lot!

Even Lev Parn as admitted that he was totally consumed by the cult, and was only saved by his arrest. It might be the only solution when we’re finally rid of the monster – lock all his followers up in “re-education camps.” JK

You’re making a valid argument for free public education. Civics, logic and rhetoric should be required courses.

The theme song for all of his rallies is In The Flesh from Pink Floyd.

“Are there any queers in the theater tonight?
Get them up against the wall!
There’s one in the spotlight, he don’t look right to me,
Get him up against the wall!
      That one looks Jewish!
      And that one’s a coon!
Who let all of this riff-raff into the room?
      There’s one smoking a joint,
      And another with spots!
      If I had my way,
I’d have all of you shot!”

And, ooooooohhh, do they love it. The rage is so cathartic. The stress relief is PALPABLE. And they DON’T WANT to give it up. They want to be important, and powerful, and dangerous. Trump gives them that, and they love him for it.

[‘Grain was here! – I put the lyrics in blockquotes to ensure the SS that you are quoting a song!]

Pink Floyd hasn’t gotten an injunction yet? I forget HOW many R & R groups have had to have attorneys issue “Cease & Desist” orders, but it’s craaaazee that the reelection committee would use the “opposition’s” music as an intro. Must be the lyrics.

That’s the GOP core group, now.
I think them scary. Those rallyes remind me of a biker gathering I found myself at one time. It was outdoors, but it felt like the clouds were a roof, gathering and fattening and waiting for the first shot to set loose the lightening.

This proves 33% of Republicans are liars.
