The Quotable Lindsey Graham

Scarlett: Sir, you are no gentleman.
Rhett Butler: And you, Miss, are no lady.

Newsweek:

“I’m not trying to hide the fact that I have disdain for the accusations and the process, so I don’t need any witnesses. The president can make a request to call witnesses. They can make a request to call Mike Pence and Pompeo and Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. I am ready to vote on the underlying articles. I don’t really need to hear a lot of witnesses.”

“Pushed on why he was opposed to further witnesses being called if the impeachment process reaches the Senate, Graham said: “Well, I’d tell the president if somebody’s ready to acquit you, I’d sort of get out of the way.”

Shorter Lindsey:
“Shut-the-eff-up, Donald. If we call in witnesses, we might have to convict you.”

Huckleberry Closetcase (h/t CPP) is, as usual, all hysteria and hypocrisy. The guy who was the Clinton Impeachment manager, which was a ridiculous case, knows he has a crappy “client”. Yes, he’s supposed to be a juror but, really, like Moscow Mitch, he’s ready and willing to openly railroad the process.

But this behavior is not really going to help Dump in 2020 because he will see it as giving him permission to totally crime away (is too a verb) with utter impunity.

Also shorter Lindsey – “The fix is in”
Did the Newsweek article point this out? I didn’t see it.
Lindsey also claimed he “didn’t pretend to be a fair juror” which sounds, to me, like he should be recused from the case. He is openly proclaiming that he won’t be fair.
Also – in the Middle East they’ll see him as stronger? Doesn’t he mean “they are used to this sort of corruption in the Middle East and they’ll be confused if he is convicted of the crimes he committed”?
