Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz testified that neither strategic hire AG Bill ‘Low’ Barr nor his handpicked prosecutor John Durham offered anything to change his conclusion that the FBI indeed had cause to open its investigation of links between Russia and Candidate Stupid’s 2016 Goat Rodeo campaign.
“We stand by our finding,” Inspector General Michael Horowitz said during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing focusing on the long-awaited report Horowitz released Monday about key aspects of the counterintelligence investigation.
Horowitz’ reports confirms that there are real, systemic problems with the FBI’s surveillance powers, but did not find that any low-level errors undermined the legitimacy of Mr. Mueller’s Little Kremlin-on-the-Potomac investigation itself.
That said, Sentorette Lindsey Graham focused on those low-level errors rather than focus on that the FBI was correct to investigate weirdo Carter Page and other players in Comrade Trump’s 2020 Goat Rodeo:
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham opened the hearing by painting the report as exposing grave misconduct at the FBI and by rejecting media reports that he said minimized the failures.
“If this becomes ‘a few irregularities’ in America, then God help us all,” Graham said. “What happened here is the system failed…How bad is it? It’s as if J. Edgar Hoover came back to life.”
The IG’s report shows us how a crooked White House, its cult-like allies, and our failed media feed off of one another, to dupe as many people as possible. If you have time today to read one longish article, choose this one from Wired Magazine: Fox News Is Now a Threat to National Security.
Horowitz’s findings rebut Comrade Trump’s lies about the Russia investigation, but thanks to the
Polit Bureau, er, GOP and Pravda, er, Fox News, low info voters and Possum Hollar will draw the exact opposite conclusion.
It’s a perfect storm of Stupid.
