UPDATED: Hair Füror Makes His Move

It blows.

The NYTimes tells us…

“President Trump plans to sign an executive order on Wednesday targeting what he sees as anti-Semitism on college campuses by threatening to withhold federal money from educational institutions that fail to combat discrimination, three administration officials said on Tuesday.

“The order will effectively interpret Judaism as a race or nationality, not just a religion, to prompt a federal law penalizing colleges and universities deemed to be shirking their responsibility to foster an open climate for minority students. In recent years, the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions — or B.D.S. — movement against Israel has roiled some campuses, leaving some Jewish students feeling unwelcome or attacked.”

Allegedly, this was the work of Prznint Stupid’s Fratsputin, Jared Kushner. The idea is that it will allow the government to punish public entities for taking an anti-Israel stance. And you know, who better to attack than universities who are using their successful South Africa playbook to pressure Israel to stop their apartheid, anti-Palestinian policies?

This is very alarming for many reasons, not the least of which is that it “others” American Jews; and there is always the element of anti-semitism about loyalty; Hair Füror even touched upon it at his disastrous meeting over the weekend:

We can look at this proposed executive order as being yet another front of Hair Füror’s on-going fascism (and it certainly is) and we can ALSO see it as another sign that AIPAC owns The Chosen One (and it does).  But no matter how you look at it, it is chilling.

The text of the executive order should be out today.

UPDATE 1: Here’s the text of the EO.

This is another isolationalist move. It separates and compartmentalizes a group based on religion and keeps them apart from the “white and Christian” group. Trump and his handlers see this as a major victory under the guise of granting identity to the group, but it works in the opposite way.

OK, this is what I was thinking when I read about it, too-thank you. It’s supposed to make things better in general; to prevent entities that receive public money divesting from Israeli investments; and supposedly Jared Kushner is quite happy with this. But I agree with donnah-to me, it sets people aside into yet another group or “race” to make marginalization easier. I also don’t support forcing investment or preventing divestment in one or another area, especially using tax dollars as the carrot or the stick.

This is not just about the Boycott Israel movement. I’ve given this some thought and this is what I’ve come up with:

        1. Declare “Jewish” a nationality.
        2. Denounce Jews for dual loyalties (always a nativist bugaboo).
        3. Strip American Jews of their American citizenship to “clarify” their status.
        4. Jews are now foreign nationals, here at the sufferance of the State.
        5. Any “troublesome” Jews (i.e., liberals, i.e. most American Jews) can now be deported with minimal due process at the first sign of trouble — to Israel or to an imaginary “Jewland,” the racists won’t really care which.

I wish I was wrong, but this has Miller and Bannon’s stank all over it.

        Purplehead –

At risk of stating what you might already know, I’ll point out that Miller is Jewish.

      • My personal feeling is that Miller (and the rest of the right wing Israeli and Jewish constituency) are doing this to help cement their alliance with the right wing fundagelicals, in a kind of twisted real-life game of Diplomacy. You make alliances transactionally, always angling to be on the betraying side of “Curse you and your sudden, but inevitable betrayal”

They KNOW that the “love” the Talibangelists have for Israel is purely based on ‘all the joos gotta be rounded up and go to Israel, then die” (because as they loudly and often proclaim this is the ‘inerrant Word of God’, and God helps them that helps themselves, amirite?)

Miller and his ilk are merely wagering they can dump that support when they’ve milked as much as they can from them.

Plus it pwns the libtards, and that is Jerb #1 for the White House.

TG, yes I know that. And so does his uncle. A Stockholm-syndrome Jew? A twisted-more-than-challah Jew. Perverse and bilious Jew.

How will he define this nationality? Put “Jew” on their IDs? Make them wear a yellow star? In the windows of their shops? The license plates of their cars?

Where does it stop? Hitler didn’t just kill a bunch of Jews. Killed students and academics: The White Rose; killed homosexuals and the autistic, the old and imperfect; the French, Gypsies, Italians; killed anyone that disagreed. Not to mention World War, blitzkrieg Britain, u-boats the Jersey Shore.

    Where does it stop?

    • Where it stops, I don’t know…this is a truly dangerous step towards fascism. Coupled with the unhinged behavior of the GOP in this country, just openly and blatantly telling us up is down, black is white and we’ve always been at war with Eastasia, I worry it’s going to take more than an election to pull this country out of the ditch.

I honestly thought this was Steven Miller’s idea when I read about it.

We are not coming out of the ditch to anything like what we were before. That version of the US is gone and will not be seen again.

That said, it is up to us to make whatever follows this era. But first we have to end this era: vote the fucker out (and all of his enablers GOP AND DEMOCRATIC), because he sure as hell is not going to be removed from office.

  3. Anti-semitism is already barred by the Civil Rights Act, Title III bars discrimination based on religion on state or federal institutions. https://civilrights.findlaw.com/discrimination/title-iii-of-the-civil-rights-act-of-1964-desegregation-of.html

And advocating voluntary economic withdrawal from Israel is not anti-semitic. (nor, despite all the state laws passed against the BDS movement is it illegal to advocate)

This carves Jews out as a ‘nationality’. Donnah is right it “other’s” them. Hair Furor’s own little Reinhard Heydrich may have outwitted himself on this.

The tell will be when the crazier fundagelicals start trumpeting this to portray insufficiently christian jews for being ‘unamerican’.

Israel within its borders a homeland for the Jewish people, OK. Supporting the political and military actions of Israel against the Palestinians, not OK. It’s as simple as that, and U.S. Policy should follow that principle.
