Hey guys, you’ll never guess what happened over the weekend when The Chosen One, AKA the King of Israel addressed the Israeli American Council in Hollywood, Florida. Let’s start with the reactions before we go to his actual words:
Dear @POTUS – Much as we appreciate your unwavering support for Israel, surely there must be a better way to appeal to American Jewish voters, as you just did in Florida, than by money references that feed age-old and ugly stereotypes. Let’s stay off that mine-infested road.

Halie Soifer, the executive director of the Jewish Democratic Council of America:
“We strongly denounce these vile and bigoted remarks in which the president – once again – used anti-Semitic stereotypes to characterize Jews as driven by money and insufficiently loyal to Israel,”
We’re not going to hold our breath waiting for Trump’s supporters to speak out. We are going to work tirelessly to defeat this president and those who’ve enabled him 11 months from now.

Here’s the warm-up act, which essentially consists of the ole divided loyalties smear:
Trump, speaking to the Israeli American Council: “We have to get the people of our country, of this country, to love Israel more … because you have people that are Jewish people, that are great people — they don’t love Israel enough. You know that.” pic.twitter.com/sruLxwC5vY

OK, OK, OK, let’s get to what he actually said:
“A lot of you are in the real estate business, because I know you very well. You’re brutal killers, not nice people at all,” he said. “But you have to vote for me—you have no choice. You’re not gonna vote for Pocahontas, I can tell you that. You’re not gonna vote for the wealth tax. Yeah, let’s take 100% of your wealth away! Some of you don’t like me. Some of you I don’t like at all, actually. And you’re going to be my biggest supporters because you’re going to be out of business in about 15 minutes if they get it. So I don’t have to spend a lot of time on that.”
Nothing offensive there, coming from the self-proclaimed “least anti-Semitic person that you’ve ever seen in your entire life.” You know, the guy who finds fine people on both sides at the Unite the Right Ralley in Charlottesville where the Jews will not replace us was the refrain.
And it goes hand-in-hand with his other niceties like Hillary’s face on a pile of money, Star of David nearby; and who can forget about this ad that breaks the sound barrier with all the anti-semitic messages flying at us:
So, you see, there’s a history here, this is not his first rodeo.
Powerful op-ed and thread 👇👇👇👇
The conclusion: “Trump believes all the anti-Semitic stereotypes about Jews, but sees those traits as admirable.” https://t.co/7TpxUjjfru

“[Halie Soifer, executive director of the Jewish Democratic Council of America] noted that support for Republicans among American-Jews has dropped significantly since Trump took office. “Jewish support for the GOP has been halved since Trump has been in office, from 33 percent in 2014 to 17 percent in 2018, because Trump’s policies and rhetoric are completely antithetical to Jewish values,” she said.”
Keep up the good work, bubby. Putz.
