Another Prick in the Wall (Grifters Gotta Grift, part infinity)

Possum Hollar tests walls.

According to the WaPo, a North Dakota company and GOP donor that Prznint Grafty McGraft pushed the military to hire for the Last Monument To The Confederacy has been awarded a $400 million contract. What are the odds of that happening?! Weird, huh?

Prznint Stupid repeatedly pressed the Army Corps of Engineers to pick Fisher Sand and Gravel to build a span of the wall, and was told by his own government that the company’s bids did not qualify it for a contract. But when have laws and whatnot ever stopped Our Stable Genius? “I scoff at laws,” he didn’t say.

The company has a history of environmental and tax violations. But Tommy Fisher (presumably the Fisher in the company name!) kissed orange ass on Fox News:

…and it worked.

Of course it worked! Is anyone surprised?

Build the Wall as campaign promise? Check, um, maybe
Get funds approved by Congress? Nope
Find a way to steal funding from military budget? Check
Build impenetrable wall? um, not so much
Hire contractors with terrible history who made big contributions to override all legitimate rulings? Check!

I knew his wall had to be a for-profit scheme, I mean why else? Now he has his buddies getting juicy contracts when they aren’t qualified? Par for the course. I wonder what the kickback on that section of the wall is? I also wonder if it will be the first part that falls as it is all but guaranteed to?
I really hope Donny goes bankrupt again or hits the jail cell before we get too far on this thing.

And this just now appeared in my inbox:

“House committee chair calls for investigation into $400 million border wall contract.”

Yeah, it’s the WaPo, which means for some of you, it’s behind the paywall.
