Faceberg Is Not Your Friend

“oops,” said Internet power-user Mark Faceberg.

Sen. Professor Warren sprang a trap this week, and she makes a great point:

It’s really a damning proof that Facebook—as Warren says—”chooses profit” over “protecting democracy,” not that we needed much more proof. Social Media is highly weaponized (d’uh) but our regulatory agencies give them a free pass. There is no truth in advertising laws on the web, and frankly there ought to be. Fox News is held to a higher standard than Facebook.

Let that sink in for a moment.

To me, this isn’t really an argument to break up Facebook (there are other, better arguments, and yes it should be broken up), but this is an argument to recognize the power that social media has and the complete lack of responsibility that they have shown. In an age of sociopaths, Facebook is the 800-pound gorilla of sociopathology.

  1. Alternatively, it is actually true. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out that Faceberg millions have been funneled into various Trump Pacs via cut-out shell LLC’s and such.

A sociopath’s money spends just as good as a President’s money. Currently, there is no difference. That is why when placing ads on FB you pay the money upfront for the service. Winning.

the little cretins that get their voting instructions from Facebook would never vote for Warren anyway. What’s the big whine all about?
