Hey you guys, did you know that Wrong-Again Rudy is actually a lawyer, who passed the bar (though I suspect he ducked into it)? It’s true! And his billing rate with Comrade Trump is —checks notes— $0 Ameros. Anyway, this legal precedent is what an expensive, high-powered, NY Lawyer comes up with as a defense:
Even Salem witch trials didn’t use anonymous testimony. The accused had to be confronted by a witness willing to put their name and reputation behind the charges and then had to be available for cross examination.

And as a descendant of at least one of the witches, I can tell you that we still don’t think of it as being fair. Just sayin’.
this is the guy who originally made his bones prosecuting the Mob. I’m sure he let them know before trial who his team had flipped to testify.
He’s not stupid though. This is all to convince Possum Hollar that Impeachment == trial instead of the reality that impeachment == indictment and the trial happens in the Senate (or not a Moscow Mitch wills it) and as US attorney I’m sure he indicted a few ham sandwiches along the way.

Rudy was slowly backing away from reality before signing up with Trump in 2016, but now he’s running away at a full gallop. He seems to have had dirtied his own hands in Ukraine with oil speculation and so why not go full cuckoobird with Biden accusations? He’s loyal, as are so many other Trump cultists, so he’s not going to turn on his beloved master.
Honestly, he is repulsive inside and out.

Yes, and an impeachment isn’t a trial. It’s more equivalent to filing charges against someone. The trial would be held in the Senate, after the impeachment.
And an impeachment inquiry, which is what is currently going on, is more equivalent to an investigation to determine whether or not to file charges. It’s even less like to a trial. Giuliani must have gotten his law degree from Trump U.

We should have seen this coming. Follow the money, but not the appropriated money. Otherwise, you won’t see the forest of corruption.

Yeah, as a daughter of a daughter, as some women would say, I’ve resented this witch hunt terminology being used by men who are actively working to deprive women of hard-earned rights and quality of life. OTOH, maybe instead of doing an impeachment inquiry, we could use some of the witch-hunting methods of inquisition and investigation… wonder how they’d like that?

Paraphrasing Monty Python, ducks float. I know, I know, I know! I know what else floats!

Quid Pro Quo?? Hey, rudy, since you probably were there, at the Salem “trials”, whose side were you on??

Hey, me too. Rebecca Nourse, and her sister.
So if it’s a real witch hunt, maybe we should flush Trump and see if he floats. If he floats, he’s a witch, and if he disappears down the toilet, he’s not.
It would save taxpayers a lot of money.
