Our Imperial Wizard-in-Chief Salutes The Troops!

New almost-Citizen returns the salute to our Imperial Wizard-in-Chief.

The King of Israel, The Chosen One, Our Imperial Wizard-in-Chief, Hair Füror has declared that children born to soldiers and diplomats overseas do NOT have birthright citizenship:

“The policy guidance issued Wednesday stated that USCIS “no longer considers children of U.S. government employees and U.S. armed forces members residing outside the United States as ‘residing in the United States’ for purposes of acquiring citizenship under INA 320.”

He seems to still be fighting with Grandpa Walnuts (b. Panama) from beyond The Veil. But I digress.

Children born in these circumstances will have to apply for citizenship before they turn 18, but there are conditions the parents have to meet for citizenship to be granted and not all service members and state department employees will qualify. In the meanwhile, good luck getting these children into the United States without passports, and without passports good luck keeping these kids in war zones or wherevs.

  1. No passports, these are stateless children. In most countries they cannot legally remain unless they qualify for refugee status.

Also, too, do you WANT to create highly trained warfighters with a grudge against the US? because THIS is how you create highly trained warfighters with a grudge against the US.

This is a great way to gut both the State Department and the military. Putin must be loving this.

I don’t understand how he can do this, since it’s an established law. And it infuriates me that he can forgive student debt for disabled vets, and then turn around and denigrate those who are actually defending our country, and Trump’s right to Free Speech.

And where are the howls of outrage from the “We luv our Vets” Rethugs? Certainly this is fodder for the Dims to use, rallying against Hair Furor during the Goat Rodeo, but so far……..crickets.

Reminds of that line in “Jack Reacher,” where he’s talking to a civilian cop, explaining that his duties as an MP were exactly the same as a domestic cop’s, except for one small detail: in the Military, EVERY murder suspect was a highly-trained killer.

Hello Dennis. They are already walking this back. here is what they are now claiming they meant.

The new rules affect children of military service members and government workers who are legal U.S. permanent residents but not citizens. They can also affect U.S. citizens who can’t show evidence they lived in the U.S. for a sufficient amount of time.

Still seems they only pulled back because of the up roar over their attempt to decide who gets to be a citizen based on how white they might be. Hugs

I don’t know what a “sufficient amount of time” means. My whole career has been international except recently. Both government (State/USAID) and non-government/private sector employees often work for long periods overseas; it’s their jobs after all!! I have worked for the USG, NGOs and private sector overseas at various times and also have an adopted daughter of foreign (Indonesia) origin. Good thing that was in the Clinton Administration. Still, we have been paranoid about her since 9/11. This country has become awful about immigration because of the GOP.
