Little Kremlin-on-the-Potomac Update

Bob Mueller be like…

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler FINALLY filed a lawsuit to force former White House counsel Don McGahn to comply with the committee’s subpoena for his testimony about President Trump’s obstruction of justice. Mr. Mueller’s report says that Prznint Stupid ordered McGahn to You’re Fired Mr. Mueller.

The 4th Reich is claiming blanket immunity for all current and former White House staff and aids to prevent/protect them from testifying; I’m not sure that there is a legal definition of blanket immunity. Anyway, McGahn has said he won’t comply without a court order.

McGahn is a real lawyer, not like Comrade Trump’s Teevee Lawyer Rudy or Fixer Lawyer Cohen (who is resting his heels in the Federal sneezer), and he probably knows what he’s up against. If he lies to Congress, he loses his license and if he sings, he’s off the Wingnut Welfare Gravy Train where most of his clients come from. He’s gonna stay silent as long as he can and fight testifying.

Expect this one to travel all the way to the SCOTUS where the Virgin Mayor of Keg City, Brett Kavanaugh, will ponder it over ‘skis at Squi’s.

Hello TG. I just do not understand the long delays in filing these court cases. Especially as we know they will have to work their way up the court system to SCOTUS. Hugs

Well, Scottie, I think it goes something like this: Nadler has to give the appearance of doing his job, while only sorta kinda doing it. And it takes time to find just the right words for those strongly-worded denunciations, and those lawsuits have to be worded correctly, besides, as well. As tRump himself once said, “I have all the best words,” so that’s what’s taking so long: Hair Furor has captured all the best words, and is holding them for ransom, or something, leaving the rest of us to struggle with our Thesauruses.

      Scottie –

I hope it is because the Dems are being strategic and know that during the summer not many people are following the news, and not that they are just squandering time. It’s always hard to tell/know, and I generally don’t feel like our leaders on the Left are strategic.

      Rgds,
