Should Have Used a Wood?

“FORE!”

We’ve learned that the Trump Organization canceled “a golf tournament with strippers serving as caddies that was to be held at Trump’s golf resort near Miami.” The event would no longer take place because a children’s charity that was to benefit from it had pulled out. (see what I did there?) I read that the plan was to auction off the strippers to act as the players caddies. “Gimme my wood, Amber!”

Incredibly bad timing from Grifters Inc., but is also shows incredibly bad judgement to consider holding such an event in the first place. I raise this current sexxxxytime scandal because it helps to illuminate a previous faux pas we’re just learing about:

The NYTimes tells us that JeffreyEpstein once arranged for more than two dozen women to be flown to Merde-a-Lardo for a calendar competition. The women were told that they would be attending a party with many people, but in the end, the only attendees were Epstein and future-Prnzint Horndog.

There’s a certain consistency in these stories; it’s not just the Access Hollywood grab-n-go aspect of it, it’s that sexist men like Trump and Epstein do not see women as real people with their own agency. I can only imagine this party of 2 men and 24 women was not just light-hearted fun and games. And I’m wagering some Quatloos that before this story is out of the news cycle that some of these women will come forward with details.

And if my theory of a Dead Man’s Switch is correct, it seems likely that this party might be part of the Epstein Insurance Plan. Prznint Grabber and his pal lures (underaged?) women to Merde-a-Lardo under false pretenses and who knows? If Prznint Stupid starts talking about a Przninitial Pardon, I think we have confirmation.

Looks like Trump is about to bury this story by trying to slam the citizenship question onto the Census by executive order. Oh, and the ICE raids are back on too, supposedly.
That should drive pretty much all of the sexxxytime stuff off the front page entirely.
I’ve said over and over, this guy actually want a Constitutional Crisis – they just has to pick one that his instincts tell him is a winner with his base and maybe beyond. This is why all comparisons to Nixon are bollocks – Nixon was an asshole too, but he did at least value the republic’s political and legal architecture enough not to relish the idea of leaving it in ruins.

Polling sez most Americans are not only OK with a citizenship question, but think it perfectly reasonable, and punishing brown people is always a winner with his base anyway, so maybe he’s found what he’s looking for.
As a bonus, it thrusts Pelosi, the Dem party, and all the candidates back into reactive mode, and with a guy like Trump that’s the last fucking place you want to be.

Doesn’t seem cruel and depraved enough for this administration. Maybe the real story was about the paintball/nude woman hunting sport.

Remember when Obama had that strip club golf tournament? And when he kept collecting a ton of money from his hotel properties while he was still in office?

hahahahahaha, yeah, that never happened. And if it had, Republicans would have burned down the White House.

Times surely have changed. For the worse.

And they totally should have and would have been entitled to do that. WTF Dims. Give me a reason to vote for you the next cycle.

Exactly. It’s almost as if Pelosi is listening to Chuck Todd for advice on how to keep the focus off of iQ4.5 and his never-ending stupidity and corruption with tone-deaf critiques of the freshmen congresspeople who actually give a sh*t about governance.

        No shit.
Sure hope nobody is holding their breath hoping for that.
Not a day goes by lately that I don’t sink deeper into despair about the prospects of the Dims getting their shit together.
Pelosi is a vote counter, just like TG has said many times, and she’s gonna wait for the public opinion scales to tip in favor of going for the jugular before she allows any serious hardball tactics. If she can’t be shaken loose from that posture, it’s all over.
Not that going for the jugular is a sure thing, it ain’t.
But failing to do so could well deflate Dim voter enthusiasm enough to make it a sure fire loser.

        9K –

I’m watching the calendar closely, too. She’s also a day-counter. If she’s gonna pull the trigger, she is going to do it when it would count the most.

I’m betting that nothing happens before Labor Day. Why? Because America is on vacation right now and is not paying attention during summer.

I’m probably giving too much credit for having a plan (Call me Q!)

No, that’s a valid point. She’s politically savvy in regard to timing too.
That said, I do worry that she’s using a political calculus that past its shelf-life in this current TV reality show/social media-dominant context we now find ourselves in, and in which Trump is in his element. (Parscale knows his shit in some alarming ways too, and they’re sluicing big rivers of cash into their presence on social media platforms already and there will be oceans more coming. The dims currently don’t have enough cash to keep pace, and anyway I’m not persuaded Pelosi and the Dim leadership are; a) personally savvy enough to understand the rules of this new game, or b) aware enough to enlist help from those who do, and listen to them.
A fossil like Biden has no fucking clue at all what would descend on him should he become the nominee.

I think the whole thing is more insidious than a deadman’s switch. Epstein shared these children with a large number of rich and powerful men whose connections he could use to further his business interests and shield him from consequences. The girls could be threatened or bought off, and the men could be reminded how much they owed Epstein. Since not all of the men kept their underwear on, he could extort favors as needed. It is being reported that Epstein did business with Deutsche Bank. That may be the purpose Individual-1 was to serve. No one has suggested that Acosta was one of Epstein’s “clients,” but there may have been other pressure points used by “clients” to make him drop the indictments. Acosta was a straight arrow who was credited with increasing prosecutions of human trafficking during his time at DOJ. Was he tempted with money? Ambition? His parents were Cuban refugees. Was there something in the family closet? We may never know. But I am intrigued by his excuse that Epstein was an intelligence asset. If Felix Sater can be an asset, anything is possible.

YellowDog – I think the thing to remember is that Acosta was a US Attorney in Chimpy’s administration. There was a lot of rat-fucking there, especially in FL, as we all know.

Florida is the explanation for most of the world’s ills, but, for now, I’ll go with Occam’s Razor, based on the absence of clear motive. Acosta is a shlub (watch the press conference) who did what he was told. It didn’t have to be anything he did; he was just following orders. The question is who told him.

just read at C&L from 2nd hand sources that Acosta was told that Epstein was handled by “Intelligence” and that he should back off. What I want to get, ON RECORD and UNDER OATH. Who were these people who talked to Acosta and told him to back off? Who do they represent?
I expect there are some big time go between the money/power people and the prosecutors. These are the Michael Cohen’s for other people. These are the people who are on the videos with girls at Epstein’s island. These people have juice. They start fires. They threaten people with death.
They will not hesitate to make it clear that they can’t go forward and dig anymore.
THESE are the people who show up in the parking lot and talk about your daughter and her safety.
These are the people who hold out big sums of money and non-disclosure agreements.
They are the ones who will keep this locked down.
    Who are they?
I agree with Yellow Dog’s take on this.
My question now is. Who is our Elliot Ness? Is there anyone who can get to the heart of the matter ?

That’s a lot of how a deadman’s switch works. It’s not active blackmail, it’s much more subtle, and it is a B- movie dialogue:
“Something happens to me, everything I have becomes public record. You better hope I never get a cold.”
