The first debate of the 2020 Goat Rodeo is tonight, and it features Senator Professor Warren debating nine nobodies who are never going to be prznint, er, other candidates.
Tonight, in addition to Sen. Professor Warren: Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Julián Castro, John Delaney, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Beto O’Rourke, and Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio).
We can thank DNC Chairman Tom Perez for this, or more specifically, his fear of being seen as Debbie Wasserman-Schultz 2.0.
On the plus side: Warren will pretty much have the undivided attention of the country on the first night, and Americans are unlikely to watch two nights in a row of debates.
On the minus side: Warren will not be with the other heavy-hitters on Thursday night, and so comparing her to the rest will be difficult.
If the case of gin arrives in time, there might be some live-tweeting. Fair Warning!
Well, I hope somebody does. I certainly don’t want to follow it on Trump’s Twitter account.
It’s amazing how little mention of the debates there is on the political blogs. Well, the day’s young, I suppose.

By the way, the “My tweets” link under “Tweet, Twit, Twat” in your sidebar doesn’t work.

Thanks – fixed it. I’m not sure if WordPress hiccupped or if Twitter barfed.
