White House To Congress: Drop Dead

King Trump, in the key of f-u.

White House Counsel Pat Cipollone has declared that Congress has no right to review the Mueller report and that the White House will refuse to cooperate with any congressional investigations of Hair Füror. The White House will not hand over any documents in response to subpoenas and will not allow any current or former government officials to testify before Congress.

(New proposal: A simple trumpet fanfare as King Ding Dong enters a room, with everyone doing a low bow with a flourish, will suffice for now.)

House Democrats responded by rolling over and peeing themselves announcing they won’t hold contempt votes against Attorney General William Barr or any other Trump administration officials who have refused to comply with subpoenas until at least June:

“I don’t anticipate it will be done this month. We only have one week [left],” Hoyer told reporters on Wednesday when asked about the contempt resolution against Barr, which was approved by the House Judiciary Committee last week over Barr’s failure to turn over an unredacted copy of the Mueller report after he was subpoenaed. “But again, I want to emphasize this is a very serious matter. We are taking it very seriously.”

“We’re seeking expert advice,” Hoyer didn’t add, “on how to write strong letters expressing our concerns, from Susan Collins.”

I see no sense in changing strategies at this point in time. Stick with what works, I say. That’s if you can FIND a method to overcome this madness. So, yes – strongly-worded letters expressing our concerns is definitely what’s needed now. Let us not stray from the models of decorum these Rethuglicons continually demonstrate, and adhere to Rules of Law. Right. Got it.
