Don’t Spend It All In One Place

The new Quatloo is released.

According to the Economic Policy Institute, bonuses are up 1¢ in 2018 since the GOP tax cuts passed:

“Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Employer Costs for Employee Compensation gives us a chance to look at workers’ bonuses in 2017 and 2018, to gauge the impact of the GOP’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Last year, our analysis showed that bonuses rose by $0.02 between December 2017 and September 2018 (all calculations in this analysis are inflation-adjusted). The new data show that bonuses actually fell $0.22 between December 2017 and December 2018 and the average bonus for 2018 was just $0.01 higher than in 2017.”

In other words, ¡GASP! the Billions for Billionaires Bill that Prznint Stupid has been crowing,

“In everything we do and every action we take, we’re putting America first, and we are putting American workers first, for the first time in a long time.”

…was just another scam? Maybe he meant the first penny was on him. That’s probably it. Oh, and you owe him a penny. Pay up!

Prznint Stupid insists that YUGE bonuses were handed out across America all thanks to hisself and the Billions for Billionaires Bill (which he amusingly tried to brand as the Cut, Cut, Cut bill). The tell? The White House has backed away from saying how much those bonuses we serfs actually got amounted to, now that real data is out. Odd, that. He usually takes credit for anything positive whether he has anything to do with it or not.

  2. Now I know I’m just a dumb commie liberal hippie moocher working in the public sector, but who below C level gets these ‘bonuses’ anymore? The only folks I ever knew who did were working on Wall Street in the late 80’s and at their level it was on the order of a couple hundred bucks, at best.

What do they mean by “bonuses”? In context, it sounds like they mean “change to wages that can be attrubuted to the ahem “tax cuts” “.

I spent my bonus in a mechanical curbside vendor and had something to chew all day.
