The Horse Race Continues!

Horse Race Reporting: Comin’ round the bend…

[Ed. – Reprised and updated. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s fundraising numbers are in, $3M Ameros.]

So, some more fundraising totals have come in for this first quarter, and without revealing the amounts (because I’m lazy, but Axios lists them along with how many donors, etc.), here’s the ranking-

  1. Bernie
  2. Kamala
  3. Beto
  4. Mayor Pete
  5. Elizabeth
  6. Amy
  7. Corey
  8. Kirsten
  9. Andrew Yang

The rest of the pack has not released numbers yet.

Here’s the thing: it’s not apples to apples. Depending on when someone announced till now, it could be a lot of time or a little time; Bernie also had his list from last time, and a fan club that has not diminished enthusiasm since the previous Goat Rodeo. Some candidates are not taking PAC money. Others, who shall not be named, are.

It’s really hard to say much about these numbers other than:

“Good News for John McCain!!1!”

So is Joe Biden-his-time still not yet announced? Huh. Well, plenty of time left. Anyone know what the odds are in Vegas?

  2. Mr DeBakey says:

Went and listened to the Andrew Yang thing you linked to earlier.
And watched another interview with him too.

The last two Democrat Presidents were young, smart, articulate Washington Non-Insiders

    • “Democratic Presidents” or “Presidents who were Democrats”.

I won’t submit to the GOP’s petty put-downs. It is the Democratic Party not the Democrat Party. More and more I’ve been catching even allegedly neutral journanimalists using the Frank Luntzification…we should not let ourselves be lulled into the habit.
