Slumlord Seeks Financing

Grifters Gotta Grift

How much?

Nothing alarming to see here, Folks!

“Kushner Companies, the real-estate firm owned by the family of White House senior advisor (and presidential son-in-law) Jared Kushner, reportedly sought a $1.15 billion loan from federally-owned lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. According to Bloomberg, the company is seeking those funds to purchase “6,030 apartments across 16 properties in Maryland and Virginia.” Kushner Companies reportedly had more than $500 million in loans from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac at the time Jared Kushner divested from the family business and joined the White House. The new loan could potentially more than double the amount Kushner Companies has in federal loans.”

I mean who wouldn’t want to loan the Kushners money? You know, following their blundering purchase of 666 5th Ave in Manhattan, and finally needing to be rescued by deep pocket friends from the Middle East who bailed the Kushners out.

You are so suspicious to wonder why would a foreign gubmint want to have leverage over the White House’s only non-You’re Fired-able employee? But I digress.

It’s not a guarantee that Fannie and Freddie will make a deal with the Kushners, you guys! …

“President Trump appointed Joseph Otting to oversee the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which regulates Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Otting reportedly served as the CEO of OneWest Bank, which was founded by Treasury Secretary Mnuchin—who is an “ally” of Kushner’s. “

I told you that you’re so suspicious!…

“A spokesman for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac told Bloomberg they had no information to share. Kushner Companies did not return multiple requests for comment. Peter Mirijanian, the spokesman for Jared Kushner’s attorney Abbe Lowell, said Kushner no longer had involvement with the family business. “[Kushner] is walled off from any business or investment decisions and has no idea or knowledge of these activities,” Mirijanian said.”

Just like Prznint Stupid has no influence over his eponymous bidnesses being run by his idiot sons Lenny and Squiggy.

I wonder how many people have been turned down as a credit risk by Freddie and Fannie? How could any individual be a worse credit risk than the assorted Kushner Companies?

The US economy basically regarded as an ATM by these fucking people.
It’s not just the La Familia Trump either. The whole of our economic aristocracy have pretty much the same attitude, including the sleazy bunch of poseurs and grifters down there at Merde a Lago and all the other other “exclusive” clubs that befoul the national landscape.
Plunder the economy any way you can, strip the public sector to the bare walls, and pay whoever you need to pay to stay ahead of the law.

It’s rather difficult to complete a criminal investigation into any person or group that continuously commits crime after crime. I know, at some point they have to be arrested and imprisoned in order to curtail any further criminal activity, but when the only organizations that can accomplish that are complicit in the criminal activity (the Senate,) well, there’s not much a prosecutor can do. If you look into who has the power to arrest/indict a sitting Preznit, and when and how they can perform such, it becomes even murkier.
I tried, and all I could ascertain was that the Secret Service is the ONLY law enforcement organization that can arrest anyone in the White House, or pretty much in either chamber of Congress. And since they are charged with protection of the Prez while he’s traveling, they can also prevent ANYONE (with a subpoena or arrest warrant, say) from even APPROACHING the Prez.
Sort of a Catch-22 situation, and one that is VERY harrowing.

As a MD resident but more as a citizen I am outraged at this Kushner Companies proposal. Kushner in fact is a slumlord and a bad one at that so you could confidantly expect this proposal to be really bad. I hope the Fannies “study” this proposal for a really long time, very carefully, very meticulously….
