The MIT Technology Review email thingie:

US threatens to stop sharing intelligence with allies if they use Huawei

The US will stop sharing intelligence with countries that use Huawei hardware in their core communication systems, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said.

The threat: “If a country adopts this [Huawei equipment] and puts it in some of their critical information systems, we won’t be able to share information with them, we won’t be able to work alongside them,” Pompeo said during an interview with Fox Business on Thursday. “In some cases there’s risk – we won’t even be able to co-locate American resources, an American embassy, an American military outpost,” he added.

Defiance: Britain, New Zealand, and Germany have all signaled this week that they may be willing to continue using Huawei gear as they prepare their infrastructure for the arrival of 5G. Pompeo’s remarks are a major escalation in tensions between the US and its allies over the role of Huawei.

As they say on the innernets, there’s always a tweet from Prznint Stupid:

…and so in one-fell swoop, “not by blocking out currently more advanced technologies,” he undercuts his own administration goals and agendas again.

Also note that Mike Pompeo today told amply be-chinned Mitch McConnell that he would NOT run for the Senate from Kansas. Wonder if he regrets that decision?

Can’t remember where I saw it but I was impressed with the series of photos of Trump standing next to people who are really 6′ 3″ and it was obvious Trump was shorter. In fact, he’s slightly shorter than Obama who is 6’11/2″. Turns out Fat Nixon is 6’1″. Pathetic narcissist.

Trump’s idiotic thumps-up gesture will forever be one of his trademarks.
    Nice pic.

Well, they were the first to stop sharing much of their intelligence findings with us, because little donny was handing them out like party favors to his Russky buddies. And 6G must be some super-top-secret Secret Squirrel stuff, because I’ve never heard of it, and all my buddies in Tech haven’t either, though they got a good hearty chuckle out of it when I explained why I was asking.
But I suppose it would be the next logical iteration of surfin’ da Webz, so maybe Comrade Preznit is on to something, and he’s once again let the cat out of the bag. Nah, he’s just that stupid. After all, he’s not even aware of his administration’s efforts to get other countries to kind of ease up on teh Gayz, wouldja fellas? Not that we’d sanction youse guys, or impose harsh new tariffs or anything like that.

My thoughts also, too. What’s the point of refusing to use hackable tech when the head schmuck’s first official acts included passing eye’s only info to Russia, tossing Israel under the bus. Wonder if that is why a later official act stirred up yet another hornet’s nest by declaring that their Jerusalem is more important than every other Middle Easter country’s Jerusalem, thus throwing Israel under the bus with a swarm of angry hornets.
